Kineya Mugimaru - Ealing Broadway
As a frequent patron of Kineya Mugimaru's Ealing Branch, I can confidently vouch for the consistently outstanding dining experiences they provide. This spot offers not only a cozy atmosphere but also an incredibly accommodating staff and an array of delectable vegan options that have turned it into my culinary sanctuary. One of my absolute must-have dishes at Kineya Mugimaru is the Udon Curry with Pumpkin Katsu. The secret ingredient to its perfection? The chefs were kind enough to indulge my request to use the thicker, richer rice curry sauce instead of the standard, thinner version typically reserved for Udon dishes. The result is a divine blend of flavors and textures that keeps me coming back for more. And let's not forget the Yaki Udon - a stir-fried sensation that dances on the palate.Kineya Mugimaru truly shines in its dedication to offering a variety of plant-based dishes that cater to diverse preferences. The vibrant flavors and impeccable presentation make every dish a culinary masterpiece. Now, here's a forward-thinking idea: I'd like to propose a potential star for their menu - the Pumpkin Katsudon. Picture this: the same crispy pumpkin katsu featured in the Udon Curry, perched atop a bed of fluffy rice, immersed in a savory, slightly sweet sauce with onions, and crowned with a perfectly cooked egg (or a vegan alternative). This fusion of flavors and textures has the potential to become a true sensation. Plus I think it'll fill you right up especially with the egg and rice as a source of protein and carbsTo add a personal touch to my dining experience, I often take advantage of the side of chili oil provided and drizzle it onto my curry. This extra kick of heat and flavor enhancement further elevates the dish, taking it to a whole new level. In summary, Kineya Mugimaru's Ealing Branch is a haven for both Japanese cuisine enthusiasts and vegans, all wrapped in a modern dining experience. Whether you're savoring the Udon Curry with its custom curry twist, indulging in the Yaki Udon, or exploring their diverse vegan options, it's a culinary journey that keeps you craving more. And let's not forget their willingness to adapt and customize dishes to your liking, which adds an extra layer of excellence to the overall experience. Don't miss the chance to be among the first to savor the future star, the Pumpkin Katsudon, on your next visit, and don't forget to spice it up with a drizzle of their delightful chili oil for an extra burst of flavor!

Hmmm. The futuristic food-ordering interface is very slick, and the food is certainly filling. But there are very many better noodle restaurants nearby. The only ways this place wins out over them is price (very reasonable, especially considering potion size) and speed (which might not be a good thing when it comes to how freshly prepared your meal is). So - a good place to pop in for a very quick, tasty, filling lunch or supper. But it’s not fine Japanese cuisine by any means. Place was clean, and staff were friendly.

This is a chain restaurant. So, the food is good for the price you pay. The only thing I can't get over is the price of the extra toppings and additional bits you can buy off the bain marie. All they need to do is skim off the price a little and it might just prove to boost sales. The food is fast, fills you up and it's as authentic as you're gonna get in London considering the price. Want the real deal and you'll pay for it! That's to be expected. This on the other hand is close enough! It fills you up and the price isn't too bad if you think about how ridiculous prices have been getting in and around London!Great spot for lunch. Not bad for a quick bite. Nice variety. Literally just the extras that need a price check. A lot more effort and processing goes into making other foods for example at the same price point as one of their bain marie options. It's just unjustified.

Saw quite a few Japanese eating here so went for a try. Sadly, the gyu don and the karage don were not that good. The beef in the gyu don was dry which is quite unusual because normally fatty slices of beef would be used for this dish but this one was not the case. The chicken karage was ok but nothing special about it. Service was efficient and the restaurant was clean and has plenty of tables and seats. Overall, it’s a bit of a disappointing dining experience experience.

Didn’t have to wait long to queue outside or for ordering. Food was quick and hot.Lovely Udon dishes. I had the Kake Udon which comes in a very generous size portion considering the price of £5.60. Noodles taste noticeable fresh and the broth is very tasty. Also had a pumpkin katsu which tasted great. Not greasy and wasn’t overcooked.Inside had plenty of seats. Staff were attentive to remove dishes from the tables and clean after. Chairs are very comfortable.Highly recommend to try considering the price is very reasonable compared to other restaurants nowadays.Would definitely come back again.

Delicious and quick freshly made food that leaves you refreshed after. Ordering might be a little tricky for first time customers but there are signs to guide you: order your freshly made dish (udon or rice based) at the computer terminal, pick up a tray and plate to pick your extra sides, pick up your dish and pay at the far end of the store with the cashier.I recommend the beef udon :)

Not super authentic udon in my opinion however the shop is very fun with self service machines to pick your order and the restaurant is super spacious!

Very pretty and very Japanese restaurant. Served the same way as Japanese Udon place. Reasonable price. No additional service charge. Smart order system. But food takes about 10 minutes which is longer than what we expected. Nice Udon but very salty. Overall, happy with food and service.

The idea of this place is great, and the menu looks nice when you look at it on the ordering pad. However, the food is sitting buffet style and is cold; the main meals are literally rice, curry sauce and whatever is on the buffet. Was slightly concerned about leaving chicken out there for a long time. The portions were extremely large and extremely greasy – everything was deep-fried. I left feeling a little bit sick-a feeling that stayed with me until the following day. Fruit flies were all over our table and the restaurant – I’m not really sure where they came from since they didn’t serve fruit and I didn’t see a dessert menu. Didn’t really make me feel like the place was very hygienic.Really unhealthy and really heavy. Not my favourite place.

Super tasty pumpkin katsu yaki soba. The soba had the perfect consistency and the pumpkin katsu were delicious. The portion appeared small at first but one bowl (£11) was sufficient. You can choose from udon, rice, or vegan menu. Plus additional toppings on the udon are available.I would certainty go again. Highly recommend it.
