One York Place is a celebration of good food. Building upon the location’s neighbourhood bistro identity and delivering the next generation of beautiful dining. My family and I ordered lamb sweetbreads, an exquisite potato soup, crab spaghettini; alongside ricotta gnudi with pumpkin, slow cooked ox cheek, and an extraordinary hot roast shellfish. Accompanied by an amazing Riesling and Bristol’s finest zero percent beers.Our only complaint was that the dish names undersold just how extraordinary each and every plate produced by Freddie and Nessa Bird’s dream team was. The atmosphere and staff were lovely, the food left us amazed, and we had a great time and were made to feel at home as welcome guests.Would recommend and visit again - do call and book in advance - especially if you have accessibility issues as it’s not a particularly accessible Victorian venue.
