Just visited Mavericks, first time in a hairdressers for many years. Fabulous service at this salon and had the most brilliant short choppy cut, exactly what I wanted. Thankyou Martin for a great haircut. See you soon

Lovely staff and always get a great haircut here! I usually book with Rosie, who is a gem, and I really look forward to our chats. The last time I visited, I arrived for my appointment with her only to be told that she had taken the day off because her son was poorly, so I was to have another senior stylist called Gilly. I don't mind admitting I was really nervous as I'd never met Gilly before, she didn't know me or my hair, but I needn't have worried at all. I came out with a super new haircut and feeling like a million dollars. Thanks!

First time I’ve ever reviewed a hairdresser before but feel really cheesed off with this establishment. Firstly let me say that this is my second visit and both times the haircut I received was really good and no problem there.My issue is that on first visit I walked in and was charged £17 more than I usually pay but fair dos it was a really good cut. On leaving I was asked if I wanted to book another and be put on the system which I didn’t as my days off vary. Wind on 5 weeks and ready for a haircut decided to book. Had my haircut ( again really good) and went to pay and was told £20. I queried this and was told rather uncertainty that it’s that price because I booked. I found this utterly bizarre and stated that. The girls were apologetic and said I should of been told ( I wasn’t). They said the owner would call me then a gentleman intervened and said he was a senior something or other and tried to justify the extra £3 !The £3 matters not a jot that’s not the point but it’s left a very sour taste with me and I will go elsewhere, very disappointed.

I have been coming to Mavericks for over 17 years and have always had Martyn do my hair. I have great trust in him and the team that help out. I’ve never once had a bad experience and I’ve never in my lifetime found a salon that I’ve stayed loyal to until I found Mavericks. Over my time as a customer my health has failed and I am now disabled. Martyn always finds way to help me in the salon to be comfortable, space is created so I can stay in my wheelchair, certain aspects of the whole salon experience I’m unable to experience to minimise pain and discretion is always highly maintained when asking the team to avoid certain steps to help me out. During COVID their PPE regulations were excellent and as a clinically vulnerable person Martyn would see me as the last client so I was the only person there this gave me great reassurance once shielding had ended and I know they did this for other clients too. Sarah is a fantastic trainer for her team, it’s a busy salon and I love seeing other clients ‘transformations’ whilst my hair dye is setting. The hot and cold drinks selection is great and they have moved to vegan chocolate bars with coffee as well as being a vegan salon. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!! Thank you Mavericks for 17 years of fantastic hair!!

Professional, friendly hair stylists who enjoy working for and with their clients. Recomended.

Very clean and we'll presented beauty salon with barbers.Friendly and chatty staff.Parking provided but limited.Highly recommended if you have a wedding or just looking for a new do.

I have been to Mavericks a few times now, I am always pleased with how they do my hair. It's a lovely hair salon. Every member of staff are really nice and you get well looked after in there. I think their hair products are brilliant.Thank you Mavericks for always doing a wonderful job.
