A great place for a break down, had to carry out running repairs on the vehicle, so apart from looking under the bonnet that's about all I seen of the bog

An absolutely fantastic area for watching some of Irelands more exotic wildlife. The ever elusive Jay can be found in this area along with all Ireland native birds and also wintering birds. This area is one of special interest and should be kept in its natural state for many generations to enjoy in the future. This area is of extreme natural beauty with many points of interest for anybody interested in rambling. One of Co Derry's hidden gems and a must see for everyone!

No public access due to the fragile blanket bog environment. Only potential visits through volunteering opportunities with Ulster Wildlife Trust. Wear waders if you're not used to walking in bogs due to hidden ditches.
