Came here as a group of 4. The restaurant had a good vibe when entering and we was seated very quickly. The menu is straight forward so deciding isn't too hard. We decided to try both seafood platters with a mix of sides. The waffles that comes with the meal can be hit and miss. Its very sweet in taste but if you prefer that sugary burst of flavour then you will love these. The lobster was very nice and probably the most desirable option for me from the menu. The complementary sauce made sure it had a lot of flavour. The crab dish however was where things got frustrating. We was left with no equipment to squeeze out the food and often spent a lot of the meal time trying to get the parts out of its shell. Everything ended up going cold because of this, so I feel if something like scissors was provided it could have made the experience better but apparently they ran out. They did give plastic gloves to dig in and be messy so we managed to get there in the end.The meal did leave lasting effect after the meal with the butter or grease. The drinks was refreshing and complemented the meal.Regarding service, there wasn't really much of it. We sat down, ordered food and pretty much got the attention of waiters towards the end of the meal when we had to pay.Regarding pricing, I think its a bit overpriced. You are looking minimum 50 per person to get a decent meal.Overall, food was ok, service could be better, environment was good. Would I come again personally no but if you do wanna try lobster it's the one thing I would recommend coming here for.

Let’s start with the food!!! It was amazing! The chef definitely deserves a raise. I’ve been to multiple restaurants that serve seafood. Yet this one exceeded my expectations. Few critiques. The music is way too loud. We could barely have a decent conversation. Secondly the sauce is overrated and unnecessary. The food is already heavily seasoned plus it comes with butter and hot sauce. Stick to those. Lastly when I walked past the bar there was a dirty tupperware and fork on the dining table. 50 minutes later it was still there. Unfortunate that the staff members didn’t think on the cleanliness of their workplace. This part irked me a bit. Other than that I totally recommend this place.

WOW!!!I have been following this place on Instagram, but never been able to go. Decided to try our luck and walk in, the staff found us a table and we didn't have to wait long. I would of waited a week there if I'd had known how good the food was. The cocktails were so so strong and tasted good!We will definitely be going back for food, the staff are so happy and friendly they made sure we were comfy and explained all rhe food and drinks. Thanks for an enjoyable evening!!

Superb food and fantastic service. I had the original bucket with snow crab, prawns and lobster, and my wife had lobster, chicken and prawns. Both of us were bowled over by how good it was. We will definitely be going there again on our next trip to London. We live in Scotland and visit London regularly, so if anyone is in the Camden area, book a table, you won't be disappointed!

At 4 and half stars, the only reason I did not give 5* for food is because I found the lobster tail a tad salty and the zombie cocktail did not have enough rum in it.Apart from those two minors the food was delicious. I ordered lobster tail, with mac and cheese, bbq wings and bang band. Wow those bang bang prawns were yum.The restaurant and toilets were very clean and customer service was ace.Trap Kitchen done National lobster Week and we got the lobster tail for £10 and added sides. Price ranges from £15 up.Location was great 3 minutes from chalk Farm station and 5 minutes walk away from Camden Market.I would definitely go again and highly recommend.

I visited Trap Kitchen for the first time in March after a friend recommended it and honestly I've been dreaming about it ever since, that's how good the food was. Definitely in my list of top 5 London restaurants that I've been to this year.We had the Ballers Combo Bucket meal with lobster tail and it was amazing! I got the mac and cheese for my side and my friend got the Spanish rice and they were both really good. We asked to swap the chicken thighs for extra prawns and they easily accommodated this, which we appreciated. The portion sizes are definitely filling and you'll leave stuffed. I have recommended this place to so many people and will definitely be returning before the year is over. The music is good, the drinks were nice (we had the Zombie cocktail) and the staff are attentive.Only negatives were that the waffle dessert was quite basic and they didn't have the Smokey Cherry Bomb cocktail that we also wanted to try.

Learned about this place from tiktok and decided to give it a try. There was a little wait but nothing too bad. It took a little while after we were seated before someone came to get our orders, but after that the staff were very attentive. The food wasn't as seasoned as we like but it was honestly the best meal we had while in the UK. The drinks were not as strong as we normally like, but they were good. I'd definately return and recommend to anyone.

Visited on 4th Novemeber 2023.Highlight was the prawns! They were amazing. The rest of the food was just about average. The bbq sauce on the chicken thighs were like something I haven't had before very good tatse. The wings were rather small and didn't taste recently cooked. The mac and cheese was delicious and was also a highlight. The garlic bread was almost definitely microwaved! Wasn't fresh and was totally soft and wasn't at all pleasant. The biggest let down was the waffle! Not cooked to order and definitely not made in house. Tasted like something from Costco. The sauce on the waffle was nice and I was looking forward to the waffle but was let down. The service was OK not great neither bad.Overall a average experience.

I went to the Trap Kitchen recently and finally got to try the fifty pound platter. The atmosphere was buzzy and busy , the staff were great and the food was great, no complaints. This place has gained a lot of popularity for serving delicious and innovative Caribbean style food with a modern twist. Their signature dishes, such as jerk chicken, mac and cheese and plantain dishes are highly recommended. The service is friendly and efficient, the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the prices are reasonable considering the high quality of the food. It’s not far from Chalk Farm underground and is opposite the roundhouse. My only problem was parking.Overall, it seems like the Trap Kitchen in Chalk Farm is definitely worth a visit for those looking for flavourful Caribbean style, but also a bit creole based on the crabs and prawns, the food is served in a trendy and relaxed environment. It gets busy and has a very young client base.
