We had a lovely family dinner at The Gate today. The food was excellent and lots to choose from, everyone enjoyed their choice of meal. The food was delicious. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We'll definitely be going again

Nice food, - took a little while to come this time, but that gave us chance to relax and enjoy the warm and pleasant atmosphere. Service is always friendly and attentive.Pleased to have the meal deal so l wasn't overwhelmed by a huge portion of one dish, but enjoyed a starter, main and dessert instead. Lovely!

It was very good, although one meal was requested without chips, but with salad instead. The salad was very poor with lettuce and a few onions, hardly a salad. We did mention this, it nothing was done

I came in for a quick drink after work and was dealt with by Chloe. Absolutely amazing service was provided and had a great chat. Everyone else was super friendly as well.

Good choice. Tasty food. Served with a smile by very polite, cheerful staff. Nothing too much trouble. Good atmosphere. There was a quiz going on but asked to sit away from this and our request was met. Thank you

We were four adults, all of us chose Sunday lunch, roast beef. There was plenty of meat and the right amount of veg. Two of us had the apple crumble later. The service was good, food excellent and the pub is a lovely place to visit. Definitely worth going back
