Roxloe Equestrian Centre

I brought my daughter here for her first introduction into riding and i must admit everyone seemed lovely and made the time to make us feel welcome, even introduced my daughter to some of the ponies and horses, her 2 favourites are Polo and Blue, and cant wait to be big enough to ride a horse like Blue one day, am hoping to bring her back now the weather is improving again

Really friendly staff and great place to take the dogs. Plenty of room and enrichment activities, it even has a little shelter for us humans to hide in if its raining

I wouldnt believe that negative review as Roxloe is a lovely yard. I went here after leaving an awful stables in thornaby which made me feel absolutely rubbish at riding and they made me feel so welcome. I had a great lesson with jen on maisy and I loved it immediately. I learned so much there. All the horses are 100% and are great. My favourites were Jinks and Dotty. The only reason I didnt give a 5 star was that there was some bitchiness on the yard itself as you would expect from riding schools, I only encountered this when I started to help out, however as far as Im aware the bitchiest ones have left the yard. I would definitely recommend.

Clearly from the 1 review written, the owner has told a member of staff to try to make this business approachable.DO NOT BELIEVE THAT REVIEW!! I say this following a group riding lesson which was supposed to be a fun exercise with friends, which i left feeling like we had encroached on their time and invaded the yard. The young stable girls were nice but clearly hen pecked by the owner, as I saw her on more than one occasion, rolling her eyes, following sniping demands at them to make them look inferior. I felt embarrassed for them and her. I went here hoping to get experience in all aspects of horsemanship (eventually), but there is no way I will go back, and I strongly recommend you don't waste your money. Very stuck up owner, dirty stables, and a poor kept little white horse that didn't look like it had been cleaned out for months.

Great venue, excellent facilities, easy parking, incredibly friendly staff, great for arena hires.
