Barker’s Retreat

Our puppy settled in at Barker's really quickly and loves going. The staff are all great with the dogs and know each ones individual character. Communication throughout the settling in process was great and I was kept informed how my puppy was getting on throughout the day which was reassuring. Very happy leaving my puppy there confident that she'll have a great time!

Our Golden Retriever Toby has been coming to Barkers Retreat for nearly two years. He comes home absolutely exhausted after a fun day of playing, he loves it!The booking process is simple, prices far better then a dog walker or sitter, he gets more exercise, and the team really look after him well. I trust them with my boy implicitly, having had him since he was a puppy they have got to know his quirks and how to manage him.Jade even forgave him for giving her a bruised face after he bulldozed into her!100% recommend, would never want to use an alternative daycare provider.

Sparkie and Twiglet have only recently joined Barker's Retreat. They have settled in straight away and now get excited when we arrive! Jade and her colleagues kept me upto date throughout the day with how they got on.

Jade and the team have been great with my dog Shelby! He can be a bit of a handful as a high energy Springer Spaniel but I always felt assured that he was in capable hands.

Absolutely amazing! Bailey bloody loves coming to Barkers retreat where he's treated like royalty :D One day at daycare = 2.5 days of quiet for me. Jade loves all the dogs and cares for them like they are her own (& Kyle too!) Added bonus that Jade's dog Oscar is raw fed just like Bailey too which puts my mind at ease when he's boarding :)

Really friendly staff who weren't put off my our boisterous rescue husky. There is only so much we can teach him or train him, the time he has spent there has been great for him and he's learning dog etiquette, how to introduce himself more calmly and how to play properly.He has such a good time that he now gets excited before we arrive and doesn't even look back when we drop him off!

I've recently started taking my furry friend Jessie to Barkers Retreat. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed with the cleanliness of the facility, and the friendly staff. The staff were very welcoming and clearly passionate about their work, taking their time to get to know my dog.When I picked up my dog at the end of the day, they were exhausted from all the playtime and socialising, I could tell she had a good day!Overall, I would highly recommend Barker's Retreat to anyone looking for a great doggy day care centre for their little one. The staff are caring, attentive and knowledgeable. Thank you for taking car of her for me...PS she's knackered now!

Highly recommend Barkers Retreat for all you dog caring needs from walks to daycare to overnight stays, Jade is a gem and has a real passion for animals, she’s treats our dog like her own and he’s always excited to go on his group walks with her and she never fails to bring him back exhausted from all the fun he’s had and we get photos and videos during his walks so we can see what he’s been up to. Very satisfied customer of nearly two years.

Can’t recommend Barkers enough! Our 1 year old Golden Retriever (Sam) has been going since September 22, he loves it and comes home absolutely knackered. We’ve found that his socialisation skills have come on leaps and bounds playing with such a variety of different breeds and personalities of dogs too. Catherine, Moira and Jade are amazing and super friendly, we love seeing the pictures and videos they take throughout the day on their social media

Barker's Retreat is the only pet service we would wholeheartedly recommend. Their doggy day care service was warm and welcoming from the first meeting and the photos jade takes really puts us at ease. This isn't just a place to drop off your dog, you can really tell that it is set up to make their time there fun, safe and engaging. Top, top service!!
