The Green Man
Beautiful village, beautiful pub, amazing food, top notch service. Emily was a brilliant attendant for our lunch, we were the first in the pub for lunch, it soon filled up but the high standard of service was maintained throughout our visit. Had a 2 course lunch, burger was perfect, crumble was yummy, drinks were lovely. Not much more I can say other than definitely going to come back.

It was our first time visiting the Green Man, I had followed your Instagram page for a while so suggested to our friends that we meet here for our annual Christmas get together. It didn't disappoint, the food was amazing and the service matched. Not to forget the cocktails! The Christmas Martini is a must! We will definitely be returning! 5*

Great food. Friendly service. We had the set menu. There was nothing to fault. Best burger I've had in a long time. Lots of GF options which made for a happy wife. Will definitely be returning.

This was a big to do item on our trip from Chicago to England. We stopped by on our way from London to the Cotswold for our anniversary. It was only the bar menu when we arrived but we waited through a downpour and enjoyed amazing food. It was so incredible that we drove and hour and a half back the next day to give dinner a try and we were not disappointed.Whatever brownie was being served that weekend (10/13) was the best I’ve ever had and I’m truly gonna be dreaming of it forever.

Stopped in the middle of a 30 Sunday walk in May on a sunny day without booking. 100+ covers. They just about squeezed me in, and that sausage roll was badly undersold on the menu. It’s f++++++ amazing. Seriously good food. Beer on top form. Cricket outside. What’s not to like?Thanks to the staff, who were actually running to keep up with the pressure and never once dropped their smiles.

The two of us walked in mid-afternoon looking for a main meal. Unfortunately, it was bar snacks only at that time, so we were about to leave when the young lady behind the bar stopped us. She offered to speak to the kitchen staff to see if they could help us out. We said not to worry, but she insisted, 'No, please let me ask for you'. A short time later, we were happily eating our fish & chips, peas, and tartare sauce. Top rated customer service, staff definitely went above and beyond. Oh yeah, the food was top-notch, too, so we highly recommend The Green Man....

We’ve had a meal in the main restaurant and popped in several times for bar meals all have been really good. Today we visited again for a pint and some bar food and although the restaurant was packed and the kitchen was also preparing food for their fireworks event they still managed to feed us too! The sharing platters are spot on. Perfectly set out and full of flavors.

As a couple who are vegetarian if not vegan, it often feels like you miss out at many restaurants, the vegetarian or vegan options being the same tired stereotypical choices.At the Green Man however that is absolutely not the case, with even the fixed price menu offering an equal number of choices. What’s more, the chargrilled courgette main course not only looked beautiful and tasted great, but it was a very generous portion size - yes often vegetarian options are not only uninspiring, they are also quite mean considering the (generally) cheaper ingredients.We also had the plant based burger which was equally excellent, with bonus points for great chips and tasty, homemade coleslaw.Finally the sticky toffee pudding was probably the best I have ever had, though perhaps not completely surprising considering who the owner is.The service was friendly, attentive but never intrusive, and the surroundings spacious and comfortable. The way they have combined outdoor, formal indoor and informal pub areas works well and made taking our dog very easy.Finally the whole thing was excellent value for money, with 3 courses for two with drinks and (well deserved) service charge, coming in at significantly less than the cost of a tank of fuel.This was our first visit but it certainly won’t be our last. Highly recommended.

Stunning location and pleasant beer garden and interior. Came specifically for the Sunday lunch. The lamb was certainly tasty, could have done with a little more veg, but overall still enjoyed
