Dusters (Colchester) Ltd

So glad that Dusters can come back to clean our home. Having used them for the last 20 years, the last 8 weeks have been hell! We have missed their friendliness, attention to detail and general good customer care.

I’ve had exactly the same experience Adam! The staff were lovely and I can’t fault them; not really. They did a good job but I found that one of the bathrooms wasn’t quite up to scratch and that the shower was clearly not cleaned properly. So I sent Marianne some photos....I received a barrage of rude and abusive texts and she told me TO GET A LIFE! What a horrible woman! I simply asked to have the shower cleaned again bearing in mind I paid so much for a DEEP clean!!Completely non existent customer service. I’d give Marianne and her company minus scores if I could but the one is for her hard working staff.

As other review suggests, very unprofessional team and do not even repply properly to new inquiries!!

Owner of this company is the rudest woman I've ever had to deal with.All I asked is to have a time allocated after 10am due to my working hours, yet after sending her staff (who were all lovely) to the house at 8am, I emailed with a Blunt, but to the point email about the time (As i get very VERY Little free time to sort this sort of stuff, HENCE HAVING CLEANERS!! & I did it before I forgot)i get a reply saying that i am talking to her LIKE A SLAVE & I Need to GROW UP & that I should GET OUT OF BED EARLIER!?!Sorry Marianne but the world doesn't revolve around you and maybe you should think about your customer once in a while, no matter how big or small the place THEY ARE PAYING YOUR STAFF TO CLEAN IS!!!Marianne, I purposely searched for this on here and oh look another 1 star review. Should have known ! Avoid this company at all costs. They cleaned my house after we'd moved out. They arrived on time and I can only assume they did an excellent job.

My family have been using this company for a while. The actual cleaners are lovely, the only issue is the owner. Rude, brash and unprofessional.This is not a reflection of the quality of the cleaners who are great. Like many others it seems we have not enjoyed dealing with the owner.Update - in relation to the owners comments about getting confused as to which Dusters this is, no mistake has been made.

I have used Dusters Colchester Ltd, among other local agency cleaners, several times and they do not fare well compared to other cleaning companies in the Colcheter area. The standard of cleaning is often pretty disappointing , but this is partly because they have a habit of leaving early, before the time you have paid them for. Even if it is by 15 minutes, when there are 3 of them, they are robbing you of 45 minutes cleaning time. If you mention this to Marianne, the manager, she will deny it, even if you have video evidence from your security doorbell, and she is an incredibly difficult woman to deal with, so the company, in my opinion, is best avoided.Time issues aside, the cleaners can be inconsistent, depending on which team you get and they can differ each time, or you may have a combination of different teams, meaning that the standard can vary. However, the biggest issue is that they don't stay for the time you have agreed and are paying for, as if they were to do so, then they would have time to wipe surfaces, get the mop into the corner, and not forget to vacuum an entire room.Marianne (the manager) has a habit of replying to these sorts of negative reviews by denying that you were a client or questioning you for not posting under your real name"
