The University is providing excellent education. I am very happy with the teaching staffs in Essex Business School in Southend-on-Sea campus. The campus is vibrant and I enjoy city campus life here. The quality of the education is outstanding except unavailability of some resources as we need them. I would love to come here again n again.

one star for the lovely people at the reception, however everything else is just bad because of a certain security guy, the bald one, this is because i try to revise with my friends (mind you most of us are POC) and he always accuses us of things and we always feel on edge whenever he is around when the library is supposed to be a comfortable place where people can revise with no stress. it makes us not want to go to the library just because of one annoying person, he needs to take a chill pill.

Not a bad university overall. However we shared the building with the college students and therefore equipment (media) was poor condition, often faulty and hard to hire out.. Its was in the Early stages and had no actual campus at this stage. They opened too early in my opinion. Some teachers were nice and others were misserable.Good Knowledge overall however.Towards to end of the course we attended on a Saturday which was annoying but meant we had the run of the college building and was lovely and quite. If you live in Southend it's a cheap way to attend university but you don't really get the uni experience

The university made a very unfair decision by kicking me off my course with just 8 months left to go before qualifying as a mental health nurse. My first year was restarted when it need not have been due to a prejudiced occupational health doctor's opinion. This doctor saw me for literally 2 minutes, read over my mental health history and diagnosis and decided that I had a mental impairment!". This judgement was made on my history not the here and now. As a result of this unfair judgement

This building occupies the site of the old Southend Odeon used to be. It had just 2 screens, Odeon 1 which sat about 100 people and Odeon 2 which sat about 500. The first Alien movie, Grease, Saturday Night Fever and Planet of the Apes were all shown in Odeon 2. The original Rollerball starring James Caan was shown in Odeon 1.
