Very poor customer service and workmanship, avoid at all cost.Brief description of my last visit with 2017 Ssang Yong Rexton - kept my car for 11 days, supposedly did full service, replaced Zenon bulbs, new break discs and pads, investigated reverse light not working and air con not working. Air con refilled and apparently working - £2.2k.On the way home from the garage, no air con working and engine management light came on, went off following day and came on 5 days later. Unable to see the car again for good three weeks. Told not to drive it, had it recovered back there. Diagnosed with glow plug replacement needed. Requested assistance to put a claim through Autoprotect cover but with owner direct payment to avoid any settlement delays for the garage. Kept the car for a week with nothing done. Collected the car to take elsewhere - paid £130 for the pleasure and £80 recover fees.Complained to the Ssang Yong head office. Heard nothing back.In the meanwhile, drove car as no other means of transport. Gear box getting very clunky and car sluggish - six weeks after big service. Took it to another garage, exhaust is blocked with no comms from gearbox, possibly knackered.Rogate calls themselves Ssang Yong dealer but their quality of work is appalling. Shame as they are really letting the Brand down (if the Brand cares that it).

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE and don't trust the other reviews!!! Despite having a decent MOT on my car...A few weeks ago, my husband's car broke down close to home and so we took it there. BIG MISTAKE!!! It started off bad from the get go. The customer service was appalling. Every day for 5 days we were promised a call back and every day we had to ring before they closed because no one called us back.We were first told the repairs would be around £2000-£3000. Hideous, but it was a known gearbox fault and isn't cheap. Days later it jumped to between £5300 and £7000 (refurb vs new gearbox)!!! I called around and opinions were that this was excessive and nor would it take over 6 hours of labour to put in a new gearbox. Still, we juggled all of our options.Went up there to discuss and Mick (owner) showed us that a 2013 Nissan Qashqai as 'damaged' ranged in value from £1500-£2000 and a working model is worth around £6000-£7000. We said what we'd consider in a part exchange. They didn't have anything at the time, but claimed they had connections and might be able to find us a car. Day later, we noticed a Renault Megane (2011) with very low mileage. It was a base model, no sat nav and manual when we needed automatic, but we were kinda stuck so Mike (mechanic) said he would talk to Mick and 'work out some figures'.The car (and this is the important bit here) was on for £6995. So a day later I get some figures. They did not come down on the car at all AND what's more, they offered us in part exchange £1495!!! A flipping fiver below the LOWEST estimate of damaged value.I was smelling a rat at this point so went on auto trader that same day, found a Megane with BETTER specs (top range) and ever so slightly higher mileage for £2000 less than they were asking for theirs. And the real kicker?? We went on one of those 'we buy any car' sites that take cars as is and we had three quotes from three different ones (all with amazing ratings on Trust Pilot) and we got a top offer of £4000!!!So we got the AA to hike our car outta there and will never go to that garage again. EVER. And the sad thing? They would have made a FORTUNE if they were not so GREEDY or had horrendous customer service. We would have taken our cars to them for years to come and recommended them to others!So why did I decide to write this, you ask? I passed by yesterday and noticed that after I told them they were RIDICULOUS with their prices....low and behold, they dropped the Megane by £1000!!! And really? That is still too high.I've tried several times to post a pic of the car as it's being sold now and a screenshot of the email, but it's not working. My car is a left hand drive Spanish registered vehicle. While visiting on holiday I needed some assistance with my vehicle. The whole experience could not have been better, from my first contact with the garage it was obvious they were a caring family business where the customer meant everything. Would recommend them for anything 'Renault'. Thanks for a brilliant service.

We took our Renault car in for 2 problems that we had. Very professional and friendly team. Highly recommended and very quick to diagnose and fix problems. We had a disastrous and cowboy experience at Lifestyle in Brighton who never even looked at faults. Well worth going to Rogate. Thank-you all. Will return.

Took our car to a garage to get the lights adjusted but they told me they couldn’t be adjusted, would be an mot failure and needed two new headlights, we took the car to Rogate garage who promptly reset a sensor adjusted the lights and it was all fixed ! Superb service they really go the extra mile with their customer service and they even cleaned the car !!! Amazing service…. Thanks guys :)
