Had a great time Friday night. Loving the fizz Friday deals! Made to feel especially welcome by the young man behind the bar Sam, who kept me and my girls topped up on bubbles to keep the dancing going! Great evening out.

Good place for a drink as good selection of beer and nice atmosphere. But wouldn’t bother with the food as it’s very average and the pub can’t really be bothered with it either. A lot of things were out of stock and they were meant to be serving food until 10pm but closed before 9pm so some our group weren’t able to order food (no warning either when the table was booked for 8pm)

Had an amazing evening at the pub the other week. Brilliant table service from Kieran, who looked after our birthday dinner quite well. Will make sure to return in the new years.

We had a beautiful evening in their bear garden. The atmosphere and the service were great. The staff regularly cleared our glasses. It was my friends stag do. There were about 11 of us, and it was really ideal sitting outside within their outdoor facilities. It was nice and warm, and when it briefly started to rain, fortunately, we were able to move over to one of their sheltered bays. Would highly recommend.

Pub itself was nice enough. But the food was terrible. We waited 20 minutes after the first 2 meals came out for the rest to arrive. And when it did the carrots were brown, peas grey and pigs in blankets mainly fat. I don't often leave bad reviews, but I felt I had to so people avoid eating here.

Food was TERRIBLE, very poor quality, very expensive for what you get. Who can’t cook peas? Pub aspect ok but bar staff happy to let you wait to be served.I recommend going elsewhere.

Great pub. We've been there a few times to eat our cycling in the Epping Forest. Our last visit from yesterday wasn't any different. The burgers were very tasty and juicy. Service was good and the chap that served us even came to ask how was the food even though we sat outside in the garden all alone during the evening. ( well build with a beard, sadly didn't get the name) Good customer service. Prices also reasonable.

Terrible service. I ordered a beef burger, but after waiting for almost an hour, was finally served an overcooked chicken burger, which may as well have been a rock. Had another very lengthy wait for afters despite the establishment not being particularly busy. Was told by staff that the chef was taking so long because he was waiting for more orders to be placed instead of inconveniencing himself by only making 2 desserts. When the pudding arrived, it was also incorrect! Would be an OK place if the chef wasn't so incompetent.

Sunday 3rd Dec 2023, 15:30hrs. No roast dinners left, fair enough, so I ordered the Turkey & Ham Hock Pie. Attached is the photo of the food I received. No roast potatoes, no pigs in blankets, no stuffing, and just minuscule portions of everything else that was supposed to be included. No explanation nor apology given. I left still hungry.

Award winning dishes they were not. We waited over an hour for our food, and then when it came, items were missing from both our dishes (and some of the ingredients didn’t match the menu). Be aware the food might come different to what you pick on the menu. The bar staff were very nice but the food service overall was terrible. Would avoid.
