Excellent lunch, £50 set menu (with options). Nice wine selection, food excellent, good service. Brilliant addition to the area.Will hopefully return for a tasting menu without the kiddo next time.

Wow, not often am I speechless, but Damson had me just that. From walking in to going out we enjoyed first class service, food and atmosphere. The staff were extremely attentive, polite and friendly without being intrusive. The meal was pure perfection with each bite. An artistic picture at each course, which didnt disappoint on tasting ... an explosion of various flavours. A lovely evening, thank you Henry and to your team. See you all again soon........

We've just been to The Damson Restaurant - wow! I'm not really sure where to begin... from the minute you walk through the door you can tell every little thing has been thought through meticulously - from The Damson logo subtly being incorporated into the surroundings (and in a classy way, not in a chintzy or tacky way) to the softness of the hand towels in the bathroom (yes, really!) The waiting staff are welcoming and very attentive, the decor is opulent and very comfortable and the food is another level! Every course was fantastic and just when you thought you'd chosen your favourite, another course came out that was better than the last! Thank you so much for an amazing meal everyone, we can't wait to come back again!

Amazing experience. The skill and effort that goes into each dish on the evening tasting menu is incredible, the dishes were well balanced, perfectly seasoned and flowed really well. Highly recommend the additional cheese course! But also save room for the hidden extras…!Service was really professional, friendly and knowledgeable - each dish being talked through as you are presented with it.The building itself has been beautifully renovated from a run down old pub to a well designed high end restaurant - with every little detail well thought out, down to the soap in the bathrooms.Looking forward to coming back to try the lunch menu.

We visited for dinner having previously enjoyed Henry and Joe’s in Newbury. The food was divine, and it was clear thought and love had been introduced to every course. The venison and carrot courses were particularly noteworthy.I would encourage anyone who can to visit and experience the chef’s skill.Only two small areas for improvement would be the waiting staff are a little awkward, but this is probably due to the establishment being so new, and it wasn’t immediately clear which door was the entrance!

Excellent food, 9 out of the 10 dishes we had were filled with interesting texture and taste combinations. And the only let down" was my dessert it tasted excellent with each component on its own but it didn't come together like my other dishes.....The service is excellent but I miss the fun and engaging experience that I had in Henry's last restaurant. I am really nitpicking

A true five star experience from before you even sit down: the decor is superb - a wonderful transformation - and the personal greeting so friendly. I love the fact that you all have your personal space for privacy (we had friends who were there at the same time and we didn't know till they started sending us pix) and it is so comfortable and cosy. As for the food and service, well, everyone who has ever tried Henry's food will know just how outstanding it is: innovative and delicious. We especially loved the sea bass and the venison. Of course, the wonderful selection of local English Sparkling wine is a real treat. This is a must go" - an experience that you won't forget and will want to repeat."

First visit to Damson and hopefully not our last! The food was excellent, the staff were professional, friendly and knowledgeable and the environment in and around the restaurant top notch. It’s a brilliant addition to the local area and we’re excited to see the restaurant grow and hear about all the great developments they’re got planned. We will be back for sure for future visits!
