Fishing trip to the coarse lake, enjoyed a good day catching Carp and a couple of Tench. Tackle available to rent and essentials including pellets etc available at reception to buy. Approx 200 yd walk from parking to the lake which was well stocked and tidy with well spaced pegs. Smaller Tench with Common and Mirror Carp, Crucian are mentioned but I was a little too heavy to tempt them. Had a second visit and was just as successful, recommended!

Recently stayed for three nights in a Posh Bothy as a family of four. The accommodation was immaculate and the communication from the owners was excellent. The surrounding area is beautiful, the kids had a fabulous time exploring and meeting the animals. Highly recommend, will definitely return.

This was a fantastic glamping experience! The pod (Nith) was plenty big enough for two of us with a lot of stuff! Includes a kettle and mini fridge. The private shower and toilet block was great, just a short (well-lit but take a torch so you don't tread on the beautiful frogs!) walk up a gravel path. Nice hot shower. The wood-fired hot tub was awesome, and easy to light and heat up. Nice to have a fire pit too. The other pods a dotted around so you have your own space, but not entirely secluded. The location is great, we did a lovely forest walk, and also took a short drive to a coastal walk. Also brill to have access to an indoor kitchen space if it rained, and a laundry room. Highly recommend!

A lovely site with friendly staff. They'll pre-warm the hot tub for your first night. The wigwams are warm and dry, with a kettle and a small fridge. You can cook over a fire in your own space or use the kitchen. Bathroom and showers are clean and modern and just a 30s walk away. Good facilities block with a kitchen, washing up area, and drying room. Forest walks and forest biking paths start from the site, and there are plenty of other activities listed. We had a lovely time!

Only left Gorsebank today and are already planning our return. We had the most relaxing and cosy few days staying in Bothie 2 and wished we had booked for longer. The owners are so genuinely kind, helpful and lovely, making you feel right at home from the moment you arrive. We loved staying here with the cosy log fire, wood burner hot tub and we added on the gas BBQ which was used daily. The farm itself is full of amazing wildlife, gorgeous horses and a lovely wee cat who would come for a visit and a cuddle daily… The walks were beautiful, views were incredible and the whole place is so well kept. And I cannot stress how peaceful!Genuinely one of the most relaxing breaks we have ever had and cannot wait to return! If you’re looking for a rustic, relaxing and cosy break to just completely unwind, book immediately!

My family and friends have come here for the past six years, the accommodation is basic but always clean and comfortable. We always stay in the big bothy. The family who run gorsebank are so helpful and pleasant, they always make time to chat. The hot tubs are great and cleaned regularly with no chemicals used which is great for the kids. The shower block is great and the showers are nice and powerful. The Forrest tracks are great for cycling and there are beautiful beaches nearby as well as some excellent ice cream shops. Every year we meet here to catch up and de-stress.
