The Car Spa (Bath)

Don't use this place. They said they would charge £7 for was and hoover inside but not including inside boot. This was advertised as £10. After about 15 mins the car looked OK - still some streaks. They then told me that would be £27! - definitely not worth that and the price had not been clear at the start at all. Not impressed.

I visited for a Gold package wash. The staff were very polite and got to work on my car straight away. I could see that they were working hard and completed by car in under an hour, after vacuuming, cleaning windows, paper mats and an air freshener.However, there were some quite obvious spots missed that I noticed when I arrived back home, like the lip on the front of the car was still covered in dirt, and the boot lid (around where the number plate is) was still dirty. Side skirts were still messy, but unlike other car washes I've been to, the roof was spotless.I cleaned those up with washless detailing spray and the car looks great, however for a £30 valet, this doesn't feel like great value for exterior cleaning.Edit: I've now seen my car in direct sunlight and the doors, bonnet and boot are covered in swirl marks and holograms. I can attribute this to the brush attached to a telescopic pole which was used to scrub my car. Really, really not good. This is the first time I've used this car wash and the last time as now I'll have to take it somewhere to have the swirl marks removed through paint correction and machine polishing. If you care about your car's paint, don't take it here.***Edit from seller response***I was never asked if I was happy with the wash before I left, and I know that because I was waiting for the question. I was also inside the car during the wash and know for a fact that using a brush against dirt on the car (whether the brush is initially clean or not and without first pressure washing it) will just agitate the dirt against the paint and cause scratches.This is one of three times I've used a hand car wash with my car in my ownership because I only clean it myself most of the time and I know exactly how to do so without scratching it. The fact that I noticed micro scratches and holograms the day after it was washed is not a coincidence and although you're understably trying to absolve your company of any wrongdoing, I am not trying to get any compensation and am stating the facts that I know.This was an honest, unbiased review and I have hundreds on my account.

Outdoor site, but indoor seating for while you wait. Not that you'll have to wait long! You get a strong, soapy wash, then across to the office area where your car is polished to within an inch of its life. And all done by real people ☺️!(I had the Gold option, it took maybe an hour).

The chap in the office greeted me very politely and was upfront about the pricing, and what my car did and did not require. When I returned in the afternoon, I was met by another man , equally polite. The car was the cleanest I had seen it since I bought it. I will definitely use this company again.

Had a great experience getting my car cleaned inside and out. Polite staff, gave me options for the service, and it was ready to go when I got back from having a coffee. Will definitely be back.

Really disappointed, it was my second visit after receiving an average service. However this time they damaged my car along with doing a poor job at hovering up the mess. I'm gutted I paid them before checking my car and driving home. Will not be returning, that damage caused was to the front passenger side footside, not fixable without replacing the whole middle unit. Really wish you'd have just told me upfront, I'm so upset be the dishonesty.

If you want to have a couple workers be rude towards you, and your car to be almost clean for a price that is not that good, this is the place for you.It's a shame because I have not had a bad experience there before, and have probably been about 20 times, with multiple cars in the past 3 years, but standards seem to have slipped a little, I would recommend anyone go to the chippenham branch where the service seems a lot better overall.

CAR DAMAGED ON TWO OCCASIONS!!Firstly, I really don’t like leaving negative reviews, however my latest experience here was not good!I have previously had my car scratched at The Car Spa by an employee with the jet wash, when I pointed it out the staff were great and used T-Cut to polish it out. I was told that I didn’t need to pay for the wash but still did as I felt they resolved the situation really well and I have continued to use them around once a week since.Today I took my car in and had it cleaned inside and out. The outside looked great, but just as I was about to leave I noticed a small patch of leather missing from the passenger seat. The car is relatively new and I know that the damage wasn’t there prior to the wash.......I’m almost certain that it’s from the vacuum being used too aggressively.I asked one of the two employees who cleaned the inside to take a look, both immediately said that it wasn’t them. Then the owner/manager came along and aggressively denied that it was anything to do with them. He made excuse after excuse that got more and more ridiculous and then then called me a liar.Ultimately you don’t stand over the person cleaning your car and so I can’t prove that it was them and vice versa, but I absolutely know that it happened at The Car Spa. I wouldn’t have asked them to repair the seat which I know would be far more costly than polishing scratched paintwork, but some kind of positive customer service would have been appreciated, instead the owner/manager was insulting and rude.I started using The Car Spa having moved across Bath from the Bear Flat area......from now on I’ll make the effort to go back to The Hand Car Wash People on Rush Hill who are better value for money, take less time due to more staff and have never damaged my car!!I’m expecting the same type of articulate reply that others who complain have received on here.........it’s a shame that this was not how I was spoken to in person!!
