BH Building and Plastering

We used Barry 18 Months ago to plaster our front room and dinner. We paid Barry to plaster and PVA which was an additional £70. After a few months a number of cracks started to appear and I asked Barry to look at them Barry brought some white powder in a bag and told me to chisle out the cracks and fill it with the powder. I explained this wasn't fair as he had only plastered it 2 months before. Barry then stated that the cracks appeared due to the age of the house and the old plater not being flexible. A few more months past and large pieces of plaster began to fall. I spoke to Barry and he said it was due to the pipes in the ceiling but refused to do anything to fix it (Barry did say he had told us thismay happen before the job but he didn't. Anyway, we are now at the point where full 4 meter by 4 meter strips of plaster are falling from our ceiling and we have been lucky that no one has been hurt. I contacted Barry again but he then blalocked us. I have had another plaster look at the work and and been told it hadn't been PVAed correctly if at all Throughout this proccess, Barry has been dishonest and now states that I PVAed the wall (I have texts to show this isnt the case) on a number of occassions and shows no signs of remorse that he has potentially put people at risk I will say that everything looked fine at forat but his work didn't last not even a couple of months. It's been very hard trying to rectify Barry's work as I have stage 4 cancer, two young children and one due any day. I just hope no-one else has had the same impact that Barry has left on our family.

Barry carried out an internal wall relocation and bathroom renovation, including plastering, tiling, flooring, plus also a roof/chimney leak repair. He arrived as agreed, and carried out the work efficiently and as discussed. The work was excellent and to time and price. He is straightforward to discuss work with and I will have no hesitation in asking Barry to do work again.

Barry has carried out plastering work for us for many years. He is courteous, considerate, punctual and tidy. Most importantly, he is a skilled plasterer. He charges very reasonable rates and gives honest advice.

Had a lot of trades people at mine over the last year and Barry was by far the most professional. Did a great job and very and pleased with the results.

Barry has built a small single storey extension for me. Barry was always on time and completely professional throughout the time he was here. Quality of workmanship was second to none always checking in to see if was happy with the work. I would recommend Barry for any building work you are considering.

I have used BH Building and Plastering on numerous occasions over the last couple of years. Barry has always been reliable, punctual, professional, knowledge and provides a great service. He has recently repointed the gable end of our house, plastered two bedrooms, repointed externally below the damp course and pebbledashed lower section of wall. Also, redone above all windows to front of house. I will be using BH Building and Plastering again in the near future for further home improvements. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Barry completed work on several external areas of the property. We are delighted with the results and have no hesitation in using his services again in the future. The work is impressive and covered a range of rendering and Plastering jobs. Barry is good to deal with and was polite,courteous and respectful at all times. The site was left in a neat and tidy condition at the end of the job.Highly recommended.

Barry’s undertaken a number of jobs large and small for us and elderly parents., repointing plastering and wheelchair access ramps. Jobs are always finished promptly to an excellent standard at very reasonable rates. He’s always reliable and honest and straightforward. There’s no such thing as a silly question either.
