This used to be a great pharmacy with great opening hours until it was taken over. Staff now appalling and poorly trained. Got prescription from dentist. Refused to prescribe as couldn’t find details on GMC database. Several explanations that you won’t find a dentist on a GMC database as they have their own database. Then they didn’t have the medication. - and on closer questioning they had it under a different name. Just awful what has happened to this formerly excellent chemist.

There is always a queue outside and the staff inside do not even make an effort to speed up things. If nothing else, they always seem to be taking their time. Same story every single time. Today, I was waiting in the queue for 20 mins only for someone to come out at exactly 18:00 saying to us that they have closed. Worst pharmacy ever.

Used to be helpful as a late night pharmacy…But stopped…Tried to go again today to pick up meds for a friend and they just arbitrarily chose to close for an hour without notification….Update:Tried againThird time this week trying to do pick-upThey decided to do closed from 1pm-2pm (despite staff being on-site the whole time)Do not go here if you have any other choice.

Absolutely atrocious, this used to be a good pharmacy. Now you'll have to wait for half an hour only to be told they don't have the medication they promised they'd get the last time you went and they didn't have it... honestly, if you have serious health conditions I would avoid this pharmacy at all costs (especially if your life depends on it) A COMPLETE DISGRACE. My GP now tells me most of the patients have switched pharmacy and I will be doing the same... DO NOT USE THIS CHEMIST!

Never have medication ready despite me phoning to check it’s ready and then I go in at the time they suggested and it’s not there.

By far the worst pharmacy I’ve ever had to deal with. The so called pharmacists are so rude and their knowledge is terrible. They never have the correct stock and their over the counter medication is double the price of anywhere else. Avoid at all costs. This place should be closedown asap. Their practice is unbelievably dangerous.

An absolute joke of a chemist. They are usually out of most medicines and will spend ages trying to cobble together your prescription from various different boxes they keep out the back. They will also make all sorts of weird and intrusive decisions about what you can and cannot buy. For example, say you’re picking up a box of painkillers for your friend that has flu, but you also ask an innocuous question about medication you have been prescribed for a condition you have unrelated to your friend’s flu. They will then refuse to sell you any medication on the basis that the painkillers should not be mixed with the medication you enquired about, even if you haven’t even taken your prescription. All this even though you could just go to the coop next door and buy the exact same thing. It’s just madness, its like something out of the League Of Gentlemen. I can only presume the owner wanted to be a doctor, failed the exams, and this is their outlet for those fantasies. I hope they go out of business so my doctor finally lets me change chemists.

Twice spoken to the male pharmacist here, and both times he was rude and dismissive. Also gave me the wrong advice which another pharmacist at Kamsons corrected and now the issue is resolved. He needs to work on his bedside manner.

The friendly neighbourhood pharmacy of the past is long gone. Ashtons used to be open friendly hours (until 10pm and on Sundays) and had friendly staff, even if they were sometimes a bit disorganised. Now opening times are severely restricted, the staff appear inadequately trained and therefore unhelpful and today, the last straw, there was a rude, grumpy one. And they are even less likely than before to have one's medication in and dispensed ready to be collected. It has taken them 5 days to get my order through- (whatever that means) and I have been back 3 times already and still no medication. I agree with the reviewer who said if the website would let them award no star at all, they would.

I do not like leaving bad reviews/detractors but I feel I have to on this ocassion. I went there this afternoon and my experience was really bad. There was a lady with glasses who had a language barrier. I asked kindly about my prescription. She told me straightway 'come back tomorrow'. I had to reiterate myself as my doctor sent the prescription to this chemist and he told me that should not take long for this to load on their system. I got slightly confused with the name of the chemist and then I corrected myself and they agreed that I could wait for a bit until my prescription appeared in the system. I took a seat and the lady at the counter went straight to her colleague and made fun of me as I got slightly confused with the name of the pharmacy. I could hear them mocking me. When they realised that I could hear them, the colleague asked me for my name and oh surprise, prescription was on the system but also told me that they will have to check if they have what I got prescribed. I said that It was fine. Other people were also waiting too and all of the sudden the pharmacists told to all of us that they did not have our prescriptions. Not good service in the slightest. Really unprofessional and I have got the feeling that they told me they did not have my prescription as I had to make a point when they made fun of me behind of this counter. Fine, I can go to another chemist but please check on your manners if you work with the public. I would not come back to this chemist. Now, I understand why the rating is so low.
