Bought a second hand phone, no problem with it, staff were helpful and patient with my layman's questions

Went there to trade an item in and was quoted a price and was told to come back as the item needed testing.The next day they offered me an even lower price as to what was quoted/stated on their website. When I showed them this, they tried to back peddle and stated they would honour the previous days price but would need to come back later. When I said I would come back the following day as I have work they refused and said I would have to accept it today. Therefore I declined.Upon returning home with the item, a cable Is missing and the original packaging is damaged.I am extremely annoyed by the latter. I am not one to complain but after this and the awful customer service, I would never visit this branch again.

it's a second hand shop if you cheep thing it's ok

always loved CeX - way back when I lived in Bristol and the shop opened there in the mid 2000's.the shop here is well laid out - always clean and plenty of room to peruse the shelves.the staff are friendly and helpful and I love taking a stroll around the shop.thing I love about CeX overall is being able to use their online site and when finding the exact thing I need being able to walk down to the Shields shop after doing a free reserve is well handy.

I visited this particular store as opposed to my regular one merely because they had an item in stock that I desperately wanted.So, while I visited South Shields for the first time, I was in an unfamiliar place. Thankfully the store was easy to locate, with a welcoming open plan, clean and fresh with cool air being cycled through.On top of that, the staff member I spoke with was very pleasant and even offered information about the local area as well, suggesting I might take a walk down the river.

Always helpful staff and great value for money

What has happened to this shop. Came here for years I now even travel from Durham to use. Queueing 20 minutes when the shop isnt even busy, lads like like a rabbit in headlights. Disappointed

Sold me a faulty phone and failed to show me that it 100% worked only showed me that it had a sim card slot and a few settings that was it. a bit disappointed the Newcastle branch were much more helpful than this one managed to get me a whole refund and issued an apology for the faulty good as it shouldn’t have been sold in the first place according to them.

Love getting robbed by this shop gives you less than half price for cash and then sell for over double... trade in price not too bad but if you don't wanna spend it in the shop the cash price is terrible...edit the shop has gotten worse ....so just gotta new thing with them now tried to sell them ps4 for them to tell me it doesn't boot up, so I take it home and plug it in and guess what? Works perfectly and the little numbnutt with long blonde hair!! ehh your pad has stick drift and it's not got original charger cable.....who has the original cables for their pads they're tiny, have to sit in front of console to use them

Though busy when I visited, the staff were still friendly and were lovely and quick with handing over my click and collect order
