Haven’t eaten at the Dolphin for some time and have previously enjoyed it the nice new floor was wet so slippery, the food was nothing special my wife and I had the leg of lamb that was well cooked and Tasty the accompanying pea thing (risotto)was not the best.The worst thing was that they gave scant regard to Disabled customers going in by the back door is normally easier just the one step to manage but the door was locked the front was a couple of steps just difficult to negotiate I’d suggest a slope somewhere always difficult in an old building but possible if you set your mind to it improvement to the path to the upper car park will help confidence for those of us with a risk of tripping on uneven ground

We’ve been meaning to come here for a long time and finally made it to a “Tapas Thursday” this week.There was one member of staff greeting and taking orders, he was very friendly and professional, talking us through the menu and how much we should order to start off with.The food was lovely and the desserts too - the mango cheesecake with sorbet in particular.We will be back soon!

Visited this restaurant many times, and the high quality of food, excellent customer experience, and ambience are consistent every time. I highly recommend the pizzas and their variety of wines. There's a separate dining room for group events and special occasions. Last but not least, the views over the countryside from the garden are stunning. This is my favourite restaurant in Essex and I can highly recommend it.

This place was amazing, I've been in the UK for 6 years and this has been my favourite place so far. I went with my family for my birthday and everything was perfect, the food was the most amazing thing ever, the service even better and the place very cozy and warm. Thank you for making my birthday a very special day

I was abit taken back when I walked into this place but from the very start the service was brilliant! catered to my 1 year old daughter with everything we asked, nothing was a problem.The starters was beautiful (forgot to take photos) and considering we dislike having roast dinners out because they never satisfy this was beautiful and I will definitely be coming back. The beef as you can see was cooked to perfection and the pork was so tender and plenty of flavour. Great chef!

Visited there for the first time. My wife has the housing duck pizza which she liked. I had the duck confit with creamy tagliatelle and mushroom. I am not sure about the combination . It is a bit odd and not sure about the flavours. Quite a popular lace though.

I had a lovely meal here, and it wasn't just because I wasn't dining with my kids! It was far posher / up market than a lot of the places I have been to in past few months (years?!)The restaurant is just on the main road (coggeshalll rd) and there is a few car park spaces at front and more just round the back. On our visit it was dark and wet so didn't do much looking round outside and went straight in. On the night we was there it was quite busy, but having booked before hand we got seated without issue. They had a chap singing, he was pretty good - although it did make hearing conversation a tad difficult.Menu options are Italian, with mains including a few pasta / pizza options and a few other options as well. I had decided on a calamari starter (which was good, but not the best I have had) and then the pork belly as a main... which was very tasty! Dishes others in the group had ordered also looked good, although I would say that some of the dishes were a little on the smallish side. Only comment I would have on mine was that it could have came with some vegetables, but I still enjoyed it! Desert was an easy choice, I love some cheesecake and the one from Caesars came as a sort of deconstructed cheesecake. It was good!The whole night was good and we was there for just over 2 hours, not that it felt like it! Would recommend this restaurant for an evening out.
