Newcastle Wheelchair Rugby Club

My son Charlie has muscular dystrophy. He was rock bottom after being assaulted at school 3 times and being bullied. His confidence was at an all time low, my husband has the same disease. A relative told us about the club so my husband and son took the plunge and i'm so happy they did. 3 weeks later and what a difference in my son. He now has a purpose, his confidence has grown and he cannot wait for a Tuesday to come around, its truly wonderful and his smile has returned. The team are absolutely brilliant, so supportive, caring and nurturing. They embrace disability and have shown Charlie that having a disability is something to be embraced not embarrassed of. Anyone who has any disability young or old I would thoroughly recommend coming along you won't regret it

A friendly, competitive sport for disabled people of all ages. Great bunch of people! Well organised and caters for all.
