Once you have experienced the cheerful service, excellent quality meat (including the best sausages I have ever eaten and, believe me, I used to live next door to the legendary Simply Sausages at Smithfield Market) and convenient neighbourhood location you will never purchase your meat from a supermarket ever again.What I love about these guys is that they will always, always go the extra mile for you. Need a turkey for Thanksgiving, a month before Christmas? They'll get it for you. Need shin on the bone? Out comes the saw. Dog hungry? Out comes a tasty bone. Great prices too. A local institution of the highest order.

Best lamb I had ever. The pork I got was amazing too slow cooked it wow. This week I want to try the rump and fillet its a real treat to shop here but lovely. Try the man next door for excellent breads, sour cream, and various other delights. So sweet...the mint jelly at the butchers is good value...but this chap also does interesting relishes.Just tried the beef that was rump and fillet. Very nicely cut and prepared. However the meats were 5/-6 -10 very nice, but just we both had better.. -maybe it s where the beef is fed or to do with the time of year. Will keep with this butcher for lamb and pork on which it scores top marks and try kemp town for the beef - we were looking for more flavor and the fillet meat felt a bit loose..and the flavor again..not quite on top spot, it still beats Waitros I expect!! Thank you.

Quality butchers! I bought some stewing beef for a cheaper price per kg than the supermarket. I was able to make an amazing casserole using the recipe from their website. To add they were really friendly too, highly recommended.

We moved into Carlisle Road in December and I have to say the quality of their meat is SUPERB! Had a leg of lamb a couple of weeks after we moved in and it was tender and tasty. Last week we had two huge T-bone steaks and to be honest were the best I have had. Floored me for the rest of the day! Slowly working my way through all their meat & poultry. Super helpful & fun crew. WELL RECOMMENDED :-)

Love, love, love this butchers. Quality is always 10/10, fabulous selection and the staff are soooooo nice. Even on a tight budget, it's still good value for money - I'd rather get a smaller portion, knowing it's quality produce, than get the generic, tough, flavourless offerings available in the supermarkets.

Brilliant butchers. Lovely friendly bunch and the meat is 1000x better than you can buy at a supermarket. Worth spending slightly more (not really any more if you buy organic already) & eating less meat just for the flavour and fact none of it shrinks the moment it gets hot!

Two experiences to share. First of all lamb rack sold by the pound with a whole load of bone at the bottom which was surplus to requirements and not usually present on a rack. Much more expensive than best quality Waitrose.Next experience bought two fillet steaks for New Year’s Eve. Tough. About the same quality as a reasonable Rump I would say. Yet expensive compared to Waitrose Fillet.Overall not very impressed at all. Better off going to the supermarket I think. Sadly

Here we are in the lockdown. I have ordered pork ribs and a gammon from our favourite butcher. It was delivered promptly and the meat was amazing as always. The gammon was absolutely yummy, moist and so tasty. The best that we have ever had.

I absolutely love this butcher. They offer a really good range of cuts of meats, plus of course accessories. The staff are polite and helpful. I will walk for 45 minutes plus to get here because their meat is worth the effort! There is a nice shop next door too, so I can get my meat and veg in one little section of Hove, then have a great walk back home, getting in my steps before a delicious meal!
