I first met up with Tom Unsworth twenty two years ago, not long after my wife and myself purchased a property in Trewyddel(Moylegrove).To begin with we wanted some general advice with hedges and one or two larger trees which we thought had got out of hand.Since that time Tom has been something of a regular visitor and has carried out a wide range of arboreal work here. Generally, this has been work on a wide variety of trees but also on much larger and more challenging specimens, including the removal of a fifty feet ash which was very close to the house. Because of its proximity to the building this required, I would think the ultimate in tree felling skills (photographic evidence is available). As a result of considerable care and preparation, the felling of this giant over several days was accomplished without any damage to the lawn and patio surrounds.Six years ago he undertook the successful pollarding of a mature lime which again was close to the house and more recently his team worked on a large sycamore which formed part of the property’s boundary along the main road through the village. Because of its location, this of course required extra care and attention.When we first acquired the property we began to plant trees in a one acre field which had been part of the purchase. He has always interested himself in this project and gives advise when required.I have every confidence in his judgement and team’s capabilities. The work he undertakes is meticulously planned and he is always at pain to explain how the task is to be carried out. I am currently awaiting him to carry out further work at my property and more than happy to recommend him.Clive Thomas

I have used Pembrokeshire Tree Services for many years now. Together with the propriter, Tom Unsworth, we look at the issues annually and how to resolve them. It may be to reshape or in some cases cut back. He also did a huge project to take down a large number of overgrown and dangerous Leylandii trees. His advice is always spot on and helpful. The work is executed to the highest standards including clearing up and logging when appropriate. Highly recommended.

Tom, on his own in the early years, and with his team more recently, has been our tree surgeon of choice over the years since 2003 when he removed a number of forestry trees. He has always been professional and a pleasure to deal with. Totally reliable, an excellent communicator, keeps to the agreed date and leaves everything tidied. We have used Pembrokeshire Tree Services several times now and have no reason to consider using anyone else.Tom and his team are absolutely dependable, work extremely hard and provide a very professional service. The most recent job involved the removal of diseased ash trees from a bank above a road, with telephone and power lines very close by. The outcome was very safe and very skillful.As we open our garden to the public for charity, we need someone who does a neat and tidy job! That is exactly what we get.

Tom and his team safely took down a large, dangerous ash for me, which was perched on a steep bank and leaning towards a neighbour's house. They made a great job of it and from the initial site visit, during the job itself and right through to the follow-up call to check I was content, Tom was communicative and professional. Tom and his team are very professional, courteous, knowledgeable and friendly. Always keeps in touch and is punctual and gets the job done very efficiently. Has a good ear for what we need and gives very good advice. Cleans and tidies up afterwards. We have a slightly sloping site and quite damp which he and his team cope with very well.
