Cater Domestic Repairs

Called on Thursday for a call-out, was told Friday morning for them to be here, then was told 1-3pm and was a no show, wasn’t told at all if they would reschedule, called loads on Tuesday with no answer and then they turned up today (Wednesday) and was clearly annoyed when we said we had gone with another company due to no response. I have a baby and needed the washing machine repaired asap because of having a baby in the house. Will not use again at all as waited in all weekend and got nothing at all

FRAUDSTERS. THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND RUN WITH IT. I paid for a call out charge which includes repair of the appliance once they have ordered the necessary part. They identified the part needed during the initial call out but never bothered to get back to me. I have found the part myself and sent it to them but they have returned any calls or responded to any message I have sent them. It has been 6 weeks since the initial call out and they will not respond.

I requested they send an engineer to repair the water dispenser on our fridge, we were confident we knew the problem already and asked they send an engineer to clean the system and verify the part that is faulty. The engineer that visited was extremely rude, was in the house around 15 minutes and did not clean anything but confirmed what we already knew! I was them told by Cater Domestic that the part was unavailable and they would tell me when it was in stock, i have been chasing them and now no responses to the last 5 emails. Complete waste of money and awful customer service!

The initial call out was 7 weeks ago. It was diagnosed that a new heater was required. The part was ordered wrongly. It was reordered and still didn't fit but was botched to fit. The unit still didn't work. When, eventually, another engineer attended he said that another part required replacing. It was ordered...didn't fit. 7 weeks later we are still waiting. Numerous telephone calls have been unanswered. Messages left for return calls have been ignored. The service has been absolutely appalling. We have now had to replace the unit with a new machine, after being left £140 out of pocket.

Conclusion -Bad company who have stole my money and lied to me.Paid for the call out which was £60 but the guy said £65 and after I had called his bluff he realised he was wrong.Lied about the price of the part.Taken the call out fee as he had done nothing but advise me to spend more to buy the part.Has not answered around 15 calls or even called back ( the company themselves or even the engineer)Full storyThey’d sent out a person to look at my washing machine as I had needed it to be fixed.(start button was stuck) I had previously had the same problem so I knew exactly what was needed to be done but the man said I needed to replace the whole top part instead of just the start button. I was confused as the previous engineer had just fixed the button itself but instead I now have to replace the whole part? Paid for the call out which was £60 but the guy said £65 and after I had called his bluff he realised and changed it back to £60. He said the part would need to be ordered and would cost £30-£40 then he left after 5 minutes work of telling me to buy the part. I called him later and confirmed to buy the part and he said the part would cost £40-£50? I said you said it was £30-£40 he said yeah £30 to £50 which is not what he said. I then said ok please find out the price of the part and let’s get it sorted to then he had said the office would call me later and tell me on the price as it is needed to be ordered. Fast forward a week later, no one has called or texted me, I’ve called many times no one has answered me I’m pretty sure my number is blocked. TERRIBLE COMPANY

Simon went the extra mile to get my daughter's machine fixed. He was so efficient in finding the problems and a very nice chap. He squeezed the appointment in at the end of his working day when he probably would have normally been heading home asmy daughter was at her wits end with washing everywhere and having just moved into a new flat on a tight budget. I thoroughly recommend Cater Domestic and thank you Simon for all your efforts. The washing machine is now working fine.

I searched for a local company in Medway and Cater Domestic was the first one to come up. I chose them because of the 5 star reviews and called. Rob kindly agreed to attend the same afternoon as he was local to my home. He was able to diagnose and repair my washing machine and advised me that he had the part in his van stock. He informed me of the cost so I was able to get the repair done straight away. He also took at look at my dishwasher and explained what he had found and what work he had carried out. Rob was very pleasant and polite and his costs were very reasonable. I would recommend Cater Domestic without hesitation.

Got my appliance re-gassed & fix lasted a week! They've promised time and again to return but no show, they cost me tonnes of food waste due to this. Rubbish service, dire response and care for my custom. I certainly can't recommend to anyone. Emailed 6 times in 3 days.....promised revisit & then radio silence
