Hannah Rickards Garden Design

We employed Hannah to revitalise our large garden beds with new herbaceous borders to produce interest all year round. This required a complete redesign. We were impressed by her approach and the concept she adopted. This was translated into a beautifully produced coloured planting-plan diagram in intricate detail with all plants named, which was most helpful. It enabled us to visualise the project and discuss minor adjustments, especially her plans for separating and clever reuse of some of the existing plants. The logistics of having the plants delivered and then carrying them, plus bags of fertiliser and mulches, through our apartment, down two floor levels and out into a completely walled-in garden, was a considerable challenge. Hannah and her two delightful assistants managed this, and planted 134 plants, very efficiently all in an afternoon. She also advised on initial plant care and maintenance. Subsequently she provided a folder with coloured pictures of all the plants with advice on their development and pruning as they mature, and she remains on call to advise as necessary. Hannah provides a complete garden design and planting service in which she is cost-conscious and seeks best value for money. She is very efficient, timely, and hard working, and a delight to do business with. We would strongly recommend her to anyone.

We used Hannah to redesign our London garden - it was a tough ask as it's not a big space and had no shape or purpose. We were very pleased with the end result, but more importantly the consultation and design process was a pleasure.
