I just had my kilt delivered and I cannot be happier with it! It is beautiful, very well put together and fits perfectly. I did a fitting in person and had it shipped stateside. While this did take a few months, the wait was worth it (my tartan had to be woven). The quality of the work is wonderful and beyond expectations. Helen did an amazing job putting it all together. I am very satisfied and cannot wait to visit again and thank them in person.

The lady inside the shop was so kind to us. She even recommended us to visit the pipe instrument shop next door!It was a great shop itself, they’re definitely making the kilts with a decent quality materials. Thank you for making our visit to the city centre worthwhile!

Excellent customer service from a very knowledgeable staff. I took my kilt in to get a buckle move. Morgan was outstanding and her work on my kilt was superb. The timeframe of the work was also remarkable. Excellent service overall by all at GNK!

My son who is 6ft 10 was having trouble getting a kilt hire for an up and coming wedding, being told it would have to be made. Called Gordon Nicholson who said not a problem we will get one made and hire it out to him. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful in accommodating us and even better the price was lower than the last shop. Thank you so much

In June of 2022, my wife and I enjoyed a trip to the Royal Mile and visited the Gordon Nicholson shop. I long had a desire to acquire a kilt, with all the accoutrements. We were treated to an outstanding shopping event by Gillian and the shop staff who recorded measurements and preferences. If you want highland wear then THIS is the place you want. A pokey little shop at the bottom of the Royal Mile with exceptional service. The staff were friendly and efficient and helped in every way possible.

We booked a fitting for my then-fiancé and his best man to get full kilt sets for our wedding and the team at Gordan Nicolson were excellent - gave plenty of support and were very patient as they dithered over all the decisions. The end kilts were amazing, fitted perfectly and looked incredible.

A great option when hiring a kilt and would definitely use again. We hired kilts for our wedding party and were hugely impressed with the quality of the kilts and jackets. The staff were great to deal with and we even had masks to match!

Incredibly knowledgeable staff with quite the resources to meet any needs you might have. They have a small shop but is filled to the brim with stuff. The quality of their hands made kilts is bar none the best of it's kind here that we found. Able to ship to the US is also something that is very useful. Especially considering the time it takes to produce their products. The price included shipping to the US (not counting customs).Very impressed with this place. Thank you for everything.

Despite some initial issues with delivery times, GNK went above and beyond to ensure I did not miss out on being a proud owner of a kilt.The quality of their attire is outstanding, looks phenomenal, and the staff there are honest, friendly, and couldn't do enough to help me.Follow up customer service was excellent, and I will 100% be returning there in future to build up my outfit. I'd recommend this business for authentic Scottish formalwear suitable for your special occasion and beyond.
