Our second visit, we were in a lovely room last time and this time we were thrilled to be in the lovely double height the chase" room. I confess we didn't eat in at all so I can't comment on the food but we did visit the bar which was very comfortable & served an excellent pint."

Stayed 2 nights in early July. Excellent location. No private parking but plenty in front of hotel and in the main square. Our room was not in main hotel but in an area round the side. . It was a bit dated but very clean and housekeeping came daily. Good selection of hot and cold food at breakfast where we were well looked after by Gaye and Chris. Food during the day not served Mon /Tues during our visit so had to eat elsewhere( we had been informed of this before we arrived) but had nice bar meal on the weds. All staff friendly and helpful.

We came to Masham for a day visit, but after a visit to both the breweries, we decided to stop for the night. A quick check on Google for hotels, and we decided on the Kings Head. Which turned out to be a great choice as the food was delightful and the rooms were very nice. The crisp, clean sheets and firm bed made for a lovely sleep. The welcoming atmosphere in the pub was only bettered by the staff in the dinning area, Gay and Chris are amazingly friendly and great fun with lots of banter to keep punters in check.The breakfast didn't disappoint with lots of options not only in the cooked breakfast but also cereals and pastries.All in all I would definitely recommend a visit and even a stay in this lovely Yorkshire village with the Kings Head being a great place to spend some time.

We have just returned home after a night away at this gorgeous place. It was just what we needed after a busy few months. It was so quiet you could've heard a pin drop. Beautifully decorated both inside the pub and the accommodation. Love that the pub is dog friendly and we were lucky enough to meet the manager's dog Harry who was a star! He was so well behaved and made our night.It's clear that the pub is well managed and that building and maintaining positive relationships is important to them. The manager and the rest of the team worked seamlessly to ensure that everything ran smoothly on a busy bank holiday weekend and did it with a sense of humour whilst remaining professional.Every single element of our break was fantastic and we could not fault anything. The location, decoration, accommodation, facilities, customer service, food and drinks were fantastic and we will definitely be returning.lam shocked to see that some people have left poor reviews because they really are a million miles away from our own experience. I suppose there are some people who will find fault with anything and like to moan.Honestly, see for yourself! Highly recommend 5*Thank you to whole team for making us feel so welcome and comfortable.

A warm Yorkshire welcome from the whole team....Rooms are airy, warm, comfortable and such a peaceful night's sleep....Breakfast was a delight. The food delicious, hot and cooked to perfection... served by the lovely Gay, Chris & Jo.... a credit to the team. All working in harmony to give you a great start to the day....Book well ahead and you won't be disappointed

Chris and Gay at breakfast were absolutely lovely and made our morning. The staff as a whole were so friendly and accommodating. The room was decorated nicely and felt like a home away from home.

Stayed here over the sheep fair weekend at the end of September & had a brilliant time. Staff very friendly, particularly Gaye & Chris at breakfast. A great asset to the establishment with their high customer service levels. Our room overlooked the square & although small was clean & had everything you could want, including a great supply of fresh milk for your tea.

Lovely location. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Fantastic food and great atmosphere. Rooms are good size and the bed is comfy.We were here on a work trip. But I would definitely return for a holiday break.

A great country pub set in a lovely village, our room was spacious and clean. A great bar with decent food. Staff were all very friendly. I would happily stay again!

I have just returned from having a business meeting over a couple days in this amazing town and pub. The pub itself is excellent, and the staff really make it, particular callouts go to Chris and Gay who were absolutely remarkable. They went out of their way to make the whole experience the best it could possibly be. The breakfast was excellent and there is easy parking in the market square just outside of the front of the pub . The accommodation was comfortable and well serviced the only slightly fly in the ointment was the shower where the flow and hot water were very patchyOther than that we had thoroughly amazing time and I would strongly recommend this pub. I will no doubt will be back!
