I've had so many alterations carried out with this lovely family. From my daughters silky party dress, my sequinned party dress, blouses etc every time it is perfect. I really cannot recommend enough. You can find them in Cooper Street (the side road by Côtes Brasserie off South Street. Support local family run businesses such as this. This one is a rare find.

I can't believe the exceptional service I received when I took my new dress in, which had a 'corsage' on the front that looked ridiculous. Without this the dress would be beautiful. I was convinced that there could be nothing done to remove the flowers.I was ready to send the dress back to the supplier but a friend told me about Chichester tailors. To cut a long story as short as possible. They took the dress and within 10 minutes had completely removed the ''corsage' (which had a lot of stitching) not leaving a single mark on the delicate fabric. I couldn't believe it - magic! And to top it all they refused to charge me!!!! Thank you so much Chichester tailors. I will absolutely use you again. Apparently you can help with some shoes that need 'fitting' attention and also curtains! So glad my friend told me about you.

I needed my boots altered and i was recommended to come here. I had a very warm welcome from the lovely knowledgeable staff immediately, who took their time to understand the adjustments that needed to be made. I knew it was going to be a difficult job as others had turned me away, but their workmanship was absolutely incredible. Made my boots fit around my calves perfectly! I would definitely recommend them to anyone, thank you.

We were recommended here by a local menswear shop, and - although we are based in London - we have used them for our more tricky alterations ever since.The service is efficient, reliable and absolutely superb quality. The most recent problem I presented was a 'blouse' cut from a lined, wrapover-skirted chiffon dress, one size too small. (A bargain bought at a fashion sale). The tailor very neatly stitched satin ribbon (supplied by me) along the zip seam so as to widen the back. And at no extra charge, he repaired all the rough edges that I'd left after hacking the skirt off. The result is perfect.Hugely impressed and would highly recommend.

I treated myself to an expensive leather jacket but the sleeves were too long. I was anxious about finding a local company that would do the job perfectly. Having read previous reviews I chose Chichester Tailors and I am so pleased I did. He was very busy when I first called in and was told it was going to take 2 weeks which was disappointing but I still accepted this. I was really happy when I got a call to say my jacket was ready to be collected 1 week later but the sleeves were still too long despite both of us doing the measurements. There was no quibble, he took the jacket back and within 2 days I had another call to say it was ready. This time the sleeves were perfect and there was no sign that he had altered the jacket in any way. It cost me £55 (cash) which, for the service, was well worth it.Thank you for making my near perfect jacket perfect - you are very talented!To everyone thinking of using this service don’t hesitate, you’ll be very happy with the results!

Great service, very helpful and friendly staff, so kind and helpful put us at ease had my daughters prom dress made slightly bigger, wow there workmanship is amazing thank you.

We love the Chichester Taylor. My wife Eloise and I have used them for alterations and resizing because they are brilliant at their job and will always make an effort to fix a garment in time for an event if they can. A wonderful family run business! Highly recommend

Honestly a shop of angels I will forever be grateful.I was going to a wedding in Stoughton on Saturday and 30 mins before we were due to leave for the wedding I put my dress on and the zip broke. I was stuck in the dress, didn’t have an alternative as we were away from home. My brother ran out to buy needle and thread but then calls me and says come to the Chichester Seamstress/Tailor, he gave me the directions and I made my way with the dress on plus broken zip.Arriving at the shop they had the needle and thread ready and the incredible woman and kind gentlemen then proceeded to sew the dress back together again whilst on me and then creatively use the material belt of the dress to create a flower shape which again they sewed onto the dress.They refused to take any money and said just remember us at Chichester Tailors, I will never forget you. Thank you I will forever be grateful.
