Beautiful view from the table outside.The food was delicious, the best fish and chips I have ever eaten. The starter and the hamburger were very tasty. Highly recommended

Worst steak I’ve ever had in my life, see photo of the “medium rare” sirloin steak after having been sent back to the kitchen. Hard and chewy + very hard to cut.Was also served with the steak on top of the chips thus ensuring properly soggy chips as we all like them to be.Guacamole tacos were horrendous, dry stale unseasoned and barely garnished.The chocolate brownie was all sugar, couldn’t taste the chocolate.To avoid at all costs, drinks were good.

Pleasant place in terms of location, but the wait for food was quite ridiculous considering the simplicity of our order. In addition, the lager had black bits in it, and the waitress looked absolutely furious when I asked if I could get some ketchup for the (incredibly salty) chips I'd ordered. No plans to return

The undoubted charm of this place and the incredible views from the outside area was spoiled by the lack of staff on what was not surprisingly a busy day. None of the seats and tables were cleared so we were faced first with having to clean/clear our area just to enjoy our drinks. What was disappointing was that the serving staff when delivering food to full tables on their return journey just left dirty tables untouched (the first rule of waiting is not to return to the kitchen empty handed!). A real mess. It's a shame on my first visit to this lovely looking well located pub but some improvements are needed.

Lovely pub to sit, relax and chill with beers after long walk around Cambridge. Clean toilet. They also have a nice balcony to sit and see the river view.

Beautiful location right on the bank of the River Cam.Staff were lovely and very helpful.I think the size of our order took them by surprise but we waited a really long time for our food after two starters, even after a prompt.We saw a lot of other meals come out before ours and we had got there early, and the pub was not busy.The manager to his credit did give a free round of drinks so that was something.The rest of my family were happy with their meals but my battered fish and chips were very poor, not crispy and to be honest a bit measly!Didn't know taste fresh.I'd give them another chance tho perhaps order on a different way to make sure we got something quicker.

Made a reservation for a Sunday Roast. Got there and when we went up to the bar to order, we were told that there was a one hour (yes, you read right, 1 HOUR) wait for food. If that wasn’t enough, we were informed that they’d run out of Roasts. Which is strange considering we specifically made reservations FOR A ROAST.Very disappointing!!!Needless to say, we got our things and left.Went to the pub next door and had a lovely roast on a spacious and comfortable table.Great location and view, though - I’ll give them that!

After an hour punting this place was ideal for lunch. Food was good, great atmosphere, service was good and truthful.When we ordered the barman said it was a 30 minute wait for food.It came earlier but tasted lovely.Great spot overlooking the river.

Super pub on a quiet part of the Cam. Really nice scenic views from the balcony gallery. Staff very friendly and helpful. Service was brilliant. Not too long with spot on timing between courses. Great place to chill with friends (beer garden is roomy and with tasteful layout ) or visit for that special occasion. Has homely true country pub feel but just on the doorstep of town.
