Clift Hill

Had an excellent night staying at Clift Hill. Roland (host) is incredibly friendly and excellent at being there when needed and invisible when not. A wonderful character home with lots of interesting things to see. Wish we had stayed an extra day - this is a very peaceful setting. Prices should probably be higher - you won't regret a visit!

Absolutely stunning property. Rooms are large and very comfortable. Gardens are beautiful and an ideal space to eat breakfast, lunch or dinner. Roland our host could not do anymore for you. Would most definitely stay again. Well worth a visit.

Spent a great family weekend at Clift Hill and we were lucky to be blessed with warm sunny weather which was a bonus. Beautiful well equipped house set in a lovely location surrounded by green fields and farm animals. Only complaint was the lack of pillows on the beds!!!

Beautiful and picturesque building and surroundings. Went with whole family of 17 for two nights. Great facilities and host very accommodating. Walked through the orchard and went for an amble. Wellies are a must!!! Would love to visit again, monies permitting. Would make a fantastic wedding venue!

Great accommodation with friendly host. Rooms were big and as we were the only guests we were given a choice of rooms. The host is very accommodatin, and had set out breakfast of cereals, freshly baked bread and juice for us in the morning. It felt like home away from home. The grounds were large with lots of beautiful daffodils of which host said we could pick some when we left. It was very interesting to wander the room looking at the art work, books and curios around the place. The only negative thing, I would say it could do with a bit of doing up as it was a little run down.

Been to Clift hill for the second year running we just love this place . It’s so peaceful and Roland is a great host. We’ve had catering each year by Gillian ward and the food is out of this world and very reasonably priced would recommend her to everyone who stays here . The house itself is fab and have seen improvements on our return . We took a walk accross the field to the river which the kids loved this house is just like a big game of hide and seek . Have had the hot tub at the patio and round the back Definately prefer it at the patio .

Beautiful house! Perfect for large parties and get togethers. Plenty of space and a lovely big kitchen and living area. Beware of trying to cook on the aga though you may be there longer than you think!

We booked one night on our way to Scotland but decided to come back for two more because this felt like the perfect place to relax! The house was really beautiful with big rooms and a cozy atmosphere + there was a piano and some really interesting books. Roland was a very nice and helpful host! We enjoyed a swim in the river near by and had good coffees in the morning. Great place to stay!
