In short, the blinds are not too bad, but don't let their 'professionals' anywhere near your house to actually fit the blinds, as they clearly don't have a clue what they're doing.Guy comes to fit heavy living room blind. I stand and watch for thirty minutes as he drills hole after hole into the living room window mantle. I ask if he needs a hand.Eventually admits he should probably have used the other drill bit, which he goes off and gets.Fits it, and several other blinds, and leaves.Shortly after, the living room blind breaks free from its fittings and narrowly misses hitting my pregnant wife who was in the process of lowering it down on the cord.Hillary's send another guy out who also proves to be just as poor, and who struggles repeatedly to fit it. I eventually get him to admit it probably shouldn't have been sold to me.Fine, I get a refund on the blind. A mate who actually knows his trade comes out to fit another blind and says (from the amount of holes in the mantle) that they clearly didn't have a clue what they were doing as they needed a specific bit to drill into the concrete mantle that's behind the plasterboard.Now tonight, my six year old daughter's bedroom blind has just crashed to the floor whilst being lowered on the cord, and looking at the two screws that were holding it in place, it's clear he's used the wrong screws and the wrong rawl plugs.Don't waste your money on these people, or if you do like their blinds (and the only good thing I can say is that some of their blinds are actually quite nice), don't use their fitting service unless you want to re-do it yourself.

Had Mr A Morton SPLENDOUR to come and measure living room window for blinds, 2 weeks later they were fitted, very pleased with the blinds and the service provided.

Zero customer service once the awnings are out of warranty!I was shocked when I contacted Hillarys about my 2 house awnings. 1 still works and 1 has stopped working.They didn't offer any trouble shooting advice, no offer to visit, would not provide a repair company or engineer name to try - absolutely zero help.Wow - so they take your money and then don't care......I wouldn't use such a company ever again!Paul - Wollaton, Nottingham.

My headrail does not fit the slats and it is stiff to operate and I am getting no help despite having all my house fitted with your blinds ????

The place was easy to find and the staff were helpful. I also liked the fact that you could see all the blinds at a glance and in natural light too.I liked the booth Esther than going into a shop as was a natural setting.

I have recently moved house and needed new blinds. In passing in breahead shopping centre I noticed there is a hillarys stand situated outsode new look. I looked threw the samples and request a visit from a hillarys advisor. The following day an advisor visited my home & I placed my order. Within 2 weeks my blinds were up and looking fantastic. I always recieve compliments. Great service from the lady at the stand aswel as the advisor. I would reccomend visting the stand as you can feel and see the samples before your in home visit.
