Bensons for Beds Derby Meteor

Went in today with my partner as we needed a new mattress and bed base. Julie our sales assistant, was polite, professional and nothing was too much trouble. We tried many mattresses after using the sleep pro tech bed to find our preferred comfort type. A few issues with the printer in store but was sorted in a professional manner. And although Julie only works part time, and had never had to set up a finance package before she was talked through how to do it and all went smoothly. Julie is a credit to you and a welcome addition to your staff.

Emily was absolutely amazing with my elderly parents. She took time to listen to their individual needs and make recommendations to them. Not pushy at all and completely let us browse at our own leisure whilst never too far away to answer any questions. Amazing aftercare too…. The mattress protector hadn’t been put in the delivery and after a phone call Emily was straight on the case. She is a fabulous asset to the company and I will recommend Bensons to everyone. Thanks!

We visited this store looking to buy a new mattress in hope's it would improve my nights sleep and help with back pain. We we're approached by Pete who was friendly, knowledgeable and gave us honest information and advice. He was personable and down to earth and helped go through the pros and cons of each mattress we saw.Before this visit we had been to dreams and had a go on their sleep match machine, which recommended we needed a medium firmness mattress and said the cheapest suitable mattress was £1500. We explained this to Pete and he said that this is something they get alot of from dreams and that you don't need to spend that much money to get a good night's sleep. He also said that medium wouldn't be suitable for my back issues. He showed us several beds at all points in the price range and explained that the cheapest one at £200 would be a waste of money and wouldn't fit our needs, and said that if we could afford it the best one for us would have been one that costs £1100 we explained that this was out of our budget and we only needed it until we move into our own house. He then directed us towards the mattress that we purchased which he said would be perfect for us for the time we needed it and was within our price range.

Quality of products fine, no complaints. But we had to wait 2½ months for full delivery, 4 deliveries were scheduled to supply our 2 items. Simply not good enough.

Service is shocking! Won't be ordering or recommending.1. Staff at Derby branch never answer the phone so we missed our delivery date and had to wait another 3 weeks.2. Waited in all day for delivery only to find out they never had the stock. Never got notified. We had to chase up.3. Didn't install our headboard even though we paid for installation on our entire order.

** UPDATED REVIEWGreat service in store but am still waiting for my bed that was supposed to be delivered on 30th May! There's a problem with the base and they wanted to just deliver the mattress and headboard separately, which I refused. After over two weeks of not hearing anything I called to chase it up and they still can't tell me when the base will be in stock. Customer service guy was OK and processed my request for the delivery charge to be refunded. The saga continues.Great service. Was served by and eventually bought a bed from Amanpreet who was lovely. Gave 4* as only got to try the tool for helping choose the best mattress on my second visit, as not pointed out to me on my first visit. Good price point and got what I needed. Thank you.
