One of the best estate agents that I've had the pleasure of dealing with. The folks here recognise that their job is critical for people renting properties managed by them. Very quick and responsive to any issue I've had. Couldn't recommend them enough.

Really bad with people, patronising. Will go elsewhere

Very unprofessional! I have been renting one of the properties managed by Steve Hewlett Associates during a 1 year contract in years 2014-2015.The house I was renting was an old building with an outdated electrical facilities and a very old boiler. We experienced problems with the boiler which was out of order for extensive periods on a couple of occasions during winter months. Due to lack of heating in winter and no action being taken to repair the facilities I have been sick and unable to work for many days. Although the boiler has been eventually put into service, the underlining issues related to the outdated facilities have never been tackled. We had problems with mold appearing on the ceiling and the walls around the windows in our bedroom and the bathroom. Instead of taking the necessary action to fix the boiler and ensure proper ventilation, we have been asked to use a mold remover to remove the mold stains. This was also pushed on us as our responsibility although it was caused clearly due to poor state of the windows, walls and facilities in the house.At the end of tenancy significant amount of money was taken from our deposit as the way to compensate for things that needed to be repaired after our tenancy. Those issues weren't caused by us but lack of action by the agency and the landlord. Steve kept giving excuses that the landlord doesn't want to spend money on repairs and it's up to the landlord to decide about the repairs, not him. My contract was with his company and he was my only point of contact with the house.I don't wish anybody to experience similar problems as this was an utter hell.PLEASE BE VERY CAREFUL WITH STEVE HEWLETT ASSOCIATED.If I could, I would give ZERO stars. Total waste of money, time and energy. Avoid!PS I have read a similar review posted on Google by R H. His experience sounds all too familiar!

Steve has managed my property for many years. His service has been excellent and I would have no hesitation recommending him.

Not a nice man to work with. Steve actually threatened me via email that if I started playing silly games that he would recommend withholding my deposit. I had to contact the TDS Company and the Landlord as I refused to even communicate with him after. Unpleasant to say the least.

Too early to properly rate....

Very professional, responsive and friendly staff. We lived in an apartment managed by them for 18 months, had several faults fixed rapidly, and regular inspections occurred every a few months (which was good for the landlord). We were new migrants to NI, they explained our questions, which could sound stupid to locals, with patience. Deposit was held by third party and was returned almost immediately after we moved out. I cannot recommend them more. I would definitely work with them again either as a tenant or a landlord.

Steve has been a really good and fair representive of us as tenants as well as looking after the landlords property over the last three years. Highly recommended for both tenants and landlords.
