The pub was aesthetically beautiful and service excellent, the menu however offered very little for vegetarians or vegans - no veggie roast option and 1 over-priced main (lentil and cauliflower which was very tasty but small portion). There were veggie starters available, generally pretty expensive.

The new Three Horseshoe decor is great. Brighter and more open. I was disappointed with the menu. It used to be quite adventurous, now it is just same old pub food available in most other pubs. That said, it is well prepared and presented.

Lovely little pub/restaurant! Really good food and a very nice pizza night.We stayed for 2 nights and was amazing. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly.100% would recommend!

The Three Horseshoes Asthall
Used to be excellent but after the renovation now resembles a Slug & Lettuce or similar. The feeling inside is now very cheap and all the unique 17th century character has been removed or painted over, including all the old beams.As you walk in you are greeted by a large plain white room with a tv projector playing sport on one wall. There is no atmosphere. Feels like a large London sports bar.Food has gone down hill too. We were a large group and the risotto was overly salty, the mussels not cooked properly and the pie arrived cold. We did mention this to our waiter who wasn’t concerned.We have been here a lot over the years and last night is the last time. Very sad to see how Daylesford has ruined the old character of the building rather than preserving it for future generations.There are many excellent pubs nearby and id recommend trying those first. The fact that they were all fully booked yesterday and this had space perhaps says it’s all.

We were celebrating a birthday and chose the May time Inn as our venue. We had a varied menu from burgers to beef n ale pie full and very tasty. Good icecream with our birthday cake and whilst it was really busy the staff were attentive and quick.

This is a massive upgrade on its previous incarnation. What a triumph. The staff are fantastically attentive, non-intrusive but consistently “on it”. I was so impressed. Annie helped us out with a table and was absolutely marvellous. Well done! We’ll be back soon.

The Three Horseshoes Asthall
Did a long walk to have roast dinner at the three horseshoes and it was definitely worth it. The building is beautiful, the service friendly and efficient. The food was absolutely delicious. Especially loved the rice pudding with toffee apple compote. Not the cheapest roast but it's definitely worth the money. Cocktails are good too. Not the last time we shall be visiting.

We visited The Three Horseshoe's last night. It only opened this week following a refurbished and new name - (back to its original). Our friends are foodies and so are fabulous at sniffing out the new 'it' places. This place is definitely going to be another and glad we got in before everyone finds out ! Beautiful, stylish classy interior where high quality linens, cutlery etc are kept simple to allow the building to do the talking - as well as looking fabulous, it smells amazing! Found out it was a Daylesford pub by the subtle Daylesford touches (like the candles). The food - well run out of space but it didn't disappoint. Pub food elevated - pies, belly pork, fish and chips. Nothing you need to get google out to understand but everything just done beautifully with extra touches ( fancy pub food as my husband says). Wonderful, friendly service from all the staff. All in all a very pleasant night we left very full and though our purses lighter we enjoyed every second. First time ever in this village (only 5 minutes away u!) but we will definitely be back.

Went here for dinner with my wife and friends and the food was really nice. I had duo of venison which was fabulous. Pork pie to start, again excellent. Service was top notch and its a beautiful pub. Why the 1 star, unfortunately my wife was really I'll that night, at first we put it down to rich food and the very nice red. We then found out one half of the other couple was also very ill that night. They had both had the same desert.The main reason for the poor review, is not so much the food made my wife and our friend ill. It's more the fact that after we contacted the 3 Horseshoes, just informing them they had made people ill (did not ask for refund) they have not even bothered replying.The food was really nice. Shame about the food poisoning and lack of care from the management.

The Three Horseshoes Asthall
Met friends at The Three Horseshoes for a catch-up and Xmas celebration. It's a beautiful restaurant in a quaint village very close to where we live. However, two of us were quite badly sick for a few hours after visiting, and over 48hrs after telling them about this, neither myself or the other ill person have received so much as an acknowledgement of our messages. So whilst this place seems lovely and has very friendly staff, we didn't expect that 2 out of 4 of us would be so ill, and I think we deserved some sort of response from management!There are plenty of good alternatives in the area. Give this one a miss.
