Edinburgh Meat Market

I don't really like meat! Nonetheless, this double arch is quite nice, wish it wasn't surrounded in stuff (sidewalks, scaffolding, nitrogen, buildings in glass and metal and stone and cement, people, their voices, das Kapital, cars, unawareness, imperialism, breaking points in the weave of spacetime). And we're all meat, after all, and bound to transit. Imagine a double portal from nothing to nothing, if to else, in the middle of the edge of reality: all the instances are gone: on its neoclassical pediment, the word MEAT.

Not a lot of info about the gateways significance, but remarkable bit of stonework and architecture

Nothing to do here

Fantastic little place to visit - beautiful, although not the easiest place to find. A lovely way to destress after a busy few months.

Just across our hostel. Not very obviously to see. Easily to ignore.
