Dave is a patient and professional bass tutor who has given me the confidence and knowledge to play bass. He is keen to pass on his skills and brings out the very best in you and your abilities. The studio is a great space and there is free parking too!! Can't wait for my next lesson.

Just had my first lesson. I’ve been playing bass for over 15 years but I’m self taught with no foundational knowledge in theory. Dave helped me understand the scales to improve my technique and ability to improvise. Really comfortable and encouraging environment. Highly recommended.

I've been having lessons with Dave since November 2021 (online lessons due to covid). I'd never played bass before, but Dave made me play it right away from the first lesson. He is very knowledgeable in music theory, and he is also very patient. I am a perfectionist, so I always feel like I'm not playing perfectly, but in the last 4 months I went from, not knowing how to manage a bass, to being able to play reading tabs and doing arpeggios and improv, and he always makes me aware of my progress.He also pushes my limit with every lesson by giving me things to play that are harder and harder, and that's a very positive thing for me because in this way the lessons are never boring.He focuses his lessons on musical theory, which is so important for improvising, but also make me play songs to improve my technic and just enjoy playing the instrument.I recommend Dave's lessons to anybody who wants to start to play bass or improve their technique.

Dave without doubt has been a god send to me. I started playing bass just over 12 months ago and started having online lessons (due to COVID) 10 months ago. Dave's guidance, patience, humour and encouragement have made me love this instrument even more. He pushes me constantly to play stuff above my level, but it's not a bad thing. I would not be as good as I am now without his tutoring and I would recommend him whatever your level. He's been playing over 25 years and he is an incredible player as well as an amazing teacher.
