Bed was comfortable and room was clean. Little noisy from squeaking floors, which is understandable as it is an old building but my room was near a fire door which people would slam open then shut. That annoyed me. Staff busy but lovely and very accommodating. Shower unfortunately only had cold water. I do believe it was being fixed ASAP. Thank you so very much for the lovely stay.

Typical pub grub but cooked and presented better than most.Service was ok but like a lot of places, they miss sales by not coming around to ask if we were ok for drinks.If you fancy a pub meal, then it would be difficult to find better in Congleton.

Thank you to the landlady Toni for lending us and letting us decorate the pubs function room/sports bar, and also doing the buffet. Everyone had a great time for the christening last Sunday and I would certainly recommend the pub to anybody. Toni's help was much appreciated. Thank you.

No Sunday Lunches as Chef on holiday.Exceptionally pleasant young landlord.Enjoyed Tapas instead which were excellent.Nice to see a proper local".Only us eating.About eight men came in later and drank at bar.Will go again to eat Sunday Lunch.(apparently young man is NOT the landlord but still very pleasant!)"
