Sew Jan

Two dresses shortened, one silk, shortened from full length to cocktail length and one Jersey full length dress shortened slightly. Both measured by Jan to fit me. Collected today and the work has been done to a very high standard. I have no hesitation in giving her a recommendation. Thank you Jan

Had lost all my winter weight and unfortunately my favourite denim shorts turned into a hula hoop was looking for a really good and affordable place to get them altered then I found sewjan local , affordable and was really fast my shorts now fit amazing and I’m so glad that I found her because she’s fantastic if you live local definitely go to her for alterations x

I ordered a dress from SHEIN, which can be a bit hit or miss at the best of times, but I recieved a gorgeous dress, that fit perfectly, but had elastic bits to support the buttons, which left gapey gaps in areas I didn’t want to gape! I messaged Jan on facebook asking if she’d be able to stitch down it to just ensure it was secure for an upcoming Christening this weekend. She messaged back straight away and said I could bring it in in the morning- 9am I was in the door of Sew Jan- and 9.06am I was on Waterloo train station, with my perfectly stitched up dress, on my way to work. I’ve just got home and tried the dress on and you would literally have no idea it wasn’t designed like that! I am so thankful to Jan for her amazingly quick turn around and for doing exactly what I requested. Would confidently use again.

Jan has done many jobs for me all to a top quality standard ... she recently fixed an expensive coat for me which gave it a bespoke look - excellent

Took Tux into the shop to be altered for wedding, great advice on what was required. Service was friendly,efficient and great value. Would recommend.

Took a pair of suit trousers that hadn't been worn for a while and we're now a couple of inches too small at the waist.Service was friendly and professional and alteration was excellent (saved me the cost of a new suit). Couldn't believe how reasonable the charge was. I would highly recommend their services.
