Registration of marriages and civil partnerships

We got married here yesterday and everything was just perfect. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. They understood and respected exactly what we wanted for our small and intimate wedding and honestly made our day everything I wanted it to be. Thank you you to everyone involved.

Recently got married here and the facilities are lovely and I would recommend it for that. However the staff are very rude and rushed my family out when taking pictures. They even forced my Nan to leave in the disabled lift, without telling anyone. This subsequently lead to her sitting in the rain for the next 20 minutes on her own and being very upset.

The ladies here were so wonderful and a very welcoming, calming presence on such a nervous day. The room was organised well and social distancing was respected and adhered to. It was a wonderful wedding and we were so grateful on how it was done. Thank you!

We got married here in June 2023 and it was truly wonderful. The team at Wellington House are fantastic, and have been since I contacted them a year or so ago - I've felt that the communication has been top-notch. The venue itself is so lovely, too; the Ceremony Room is decorated to a high standard and it feels luxurious for a register office. The fees are incredibly decent, and you get a brilliant service. On the day the team helped to put me at ease and were great at coordinating guests and creating a joyful atmosphere - they guided us through each step of the process and were so helpful, friendly and calm. I was so pleased that we chose to get married here, and would highly recommend to anyone else looking to get married in a lovely register office in a beautiful city!

We got married last week at Wellington house and we couldn’t fault any of the staff or our experience, from start to end everyone was so helpful. They were all so lovely, welcoming and made us feel very at ease. Natasha and Catherine were so lovely and we couldn’t have asked for nicer ladies to marry us. Very quick service sending out our marriage certificates as well…. Thank you all so much, I would highly recommend others get married here if you’re looking for a small intimate wedding.
