I would like to commend Chris Murphy for his ever so polite,courteousness with professionalism in which he showed me,Having had a Heart By-Pass and Post-Operative Stroke,some simple daily challenges are not so easy for me now.Chris calmly and slowly went through my query and kindly called me back and is following through with my request.Chris is a credit to the OVO brand.Thank you.

If I could leave less than one star I would. DO NOT GO WITH OVO! We went from having a credit of £2000 to £9 in less then 2 months for a holiday house we are in max 6 weeks a year?!!! How is that even possible? Went from being charged approx £150/200 quartly to £1300 with threatening emails I will soon be in debt. Called up to get this sorted and have been trying for 10 days to rectify this. Whilst being transferred they hung up on us after a 1,5h wait. I was then transferred to a new representative who essentially told us to just deal with it and refused to transfer us to someone who knew what they were talking about. The company does not seem to care about its customers, the only reason I am with them in the first place is due to them buying my former provider, SSE. SEE have been helpful trying to solve this problem but Ovo are doing nothing but stress me out. They are a thieving company & once I have my money back I'm leaving them & will warn all my friends to do the same. Shame on you Ovo

My 94 year old mother, who has dementia and is now living in a nursing home had her account with Ovo before moving out of her house. I have been trying for months to sort out and finalise her account . I wish I had never heard of them. I have made numerous telephone calls, sent many emails, and even sent them a letter through the post. I have yet to receive a decent reply. The robots on the phone are impolite and do not listen to what you are saying. It seems all they are capable of doing is sending curt demands for a payment I have yet to receive an explanation for. It is nothing short of harrasment. I have no doubt if this gets a response it will be to call the same help" line as I have done many many times and gotten nowhere. Evidently Ovo have no interest in helping their customers ( or should that be victims) I agree with other reviews if I could give negative stars I would. My dealings with them so far have been unproductive

Didn't want to give any stars. Dreadful company, don't listen and lie. Got standing order set up but constantly bothering me to pay the total in full. Don't answer emails and promise to answer complaints, still waiting 2 months later. Wait ages on phone and then get an incompetent person that xannot hear what you are saying, when I asked where I was calling, the answer was South Africa, I want to speak to someone in England.

Went from being charged £56 a month for gas and electricity combined judged by my usage to them trying to charge me £740 a month even though we used less energy than the month prior. Called up to get this sorted and was answered by an English representative who figured out the problem on the OVO side and transferred us to the department to rectify this. Whilst being transferred they hung up on us and we called back to an Indian representative who essentially told us to just deal with it and refused to transfer us to someone who knew what they were talking about. It seems this company does not seem to care about its customers, the only reason I am with them in the first place is due to them buying my former provider, SSE, and this is the first month under OVO if the problem is not rectifies soon I shall be leaving OVO and will not allow anyone I know to use this thieving company.

What an absolute shower this company is!!!! Im not a customer of theirs, yet they keep sending me bills - I have been trying to resolve this since may, with promises of sorting this issue every time - yet today another bill - so so fed up!!!

UPDATE: Highly recommend getting the Ombudsman involved. I submitted details of my case below and they were able to chase OVO down and get them to agree to give me a working account fairly quickly.OVO are still an awful company though - they are still sending us bills to the old account - but my Ombudsman assigned officer is on their case.Do not go choose OVO in any circumstances!!We still do not have an account that works after living here for over a YEAR.They gave us three account numbers and none of them work.When we do get a bill randomly via post they say it’s for the wrong account and don’t let us pay itCan’t log into the app this entire timeCan’t submit payment or meter readings online - only via phoneThey are rude and unprofessional - leaving us on hold for two hour stretches because they don’t want to deal with us or sometimes hanging up on usWe literally just want to receive a bill and pay it it’s mind-boggling that we have still been unable to do this after us calling them continually for over a year.Worst company I have ever dealt with

I've had terrible experiences with OVO. There are some genuinely helpful individuals working there trying to do the right thing but unfortunately they are totally in the minority, and the company clearly doesn't have the technical capability or priorities to provide a good service. They prioritise bill collections but as they can't even bill properly it's always a nightmare!
