Put a cutting list in on Sat for a promised collection following Mon morning. Turned up to collect and after being given the run-around the list was never started. They said another 3-4 days!! Is it any wonder that business is more appreciated on the mainland?

Lawrence Boarer can make almost anything I reckon. 15 years ago he made me an oak front door and frame. It still looks as good as the the day he fitted it.Recently he made me some thick oak kitchen worktops from wide planks. Top quality as usual and I'm sure they will outlast the rest of the kitchen. Lawrence is a very cheerful and helpful person and the quality of service is excellent. You can check out my other reviews and find that I don't always write good ones.

First time that I have visited here to buy some hardwood for a project. I am a small scale CNC woodworker and needed some help and advice in order to get the right timber. I was greeted by a very friendly and helpful member of staff who was very willing and able to offer advice. Don't be deceived to the small frontage of the woodshop/ boatyard as it goes back a long way and is huge inside. If you need to buy a particular timber I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this timber merchants. Ian, Dovetailed Design
