Hempsted Swing Bridge
Location is on a really pretty part of the canal and is a good access point. The bridgemaster is really helpful and there's always a bowl of water down for dogs and a box of dog biscuits handy.

Great as long as your not in a hurry and its just opening , takes about 10 /15 mins , if in a rush continue along bypass , no ones fault just old bridge n slow

I walk from Gloucester city centre to the pilot swing bridge along the tow path and the bridge operator have me some squash as it was a very hot day.

This is one of my favourite canal walks. Excellent in winter as the path is paved so no mud!
