Kidvelo Bikes

This bike is fantastic, it feels such good quality and a great build. Our little one loves that it came with a bell too! This is his first balance bike and he is still getting to grips with it. So pleased we got the super-safe helmet from here too!

My 3 year old loves his Kidvelo Rookie 12. This is his 1st balance bike and he's taken to it like a duck to water. He is so confident with it and obviously feels safe. The bike is very fairly priced, it was delivered quickly, its lightweight, easy to put together, and the quality is fantastic. My little one loves the chunky wheels and the bell too. I would definitely recommend this bike to anyone who is looking for their child's first bike.

We tried out the Kidvelo balance bike at Newport Shropshire Cycling Club bike club on Saturday. My nearly 3 year old had so much fun trying it out whilst his brother took part in his session. He enjoyed it so much he didn't want to give it back!!The bike is very lightweight which made it easy for him to handle and also the shape of the frame towards the back gives children a place to put their feet so they can properly balance rather than just having to hold their legs up like on most balance bikes.I would definitely recommend this balance bike for young children. An added bonus is the price which is reasonable for such a good quality balance bike and definitely worth it.

I don’t normally leave reviews, but I’m so impressed with our recent purchase of a Kidvelo balance bike that I thought this product was worthy of one.My daughter has recently turned two and she wanted a bike just like her big brother, however we were concerned that she was still too small for a conventional bike.We started searching and came across balance bikes. We thought this would be a good starting point for her as both feet can still touch the floor whilst using it and it should also be much safer in terms of any falls or getting injured.After plenty of research we came across the Kidvelo bikes website and we loved the design and bright colours of their Rookie 12 model.We ordered the item and it arrived promptly. Everything came in the same box which included the tools needed to put the bike together. I’m normally pretty rubbish at DIY tasks but the instructions were straight forward to follow, and it literally took me no longer than 10 minutes to assemble.The first thing we noticed was the build quality of the product. It’s well made and really sturdy when put together. The black wheels and tyres look great and my little one loves the bright pink colour!She has had the bike for a few weeks now and is getting on with it great. Her confidence has improved no end in this time and she scoots round everywhere on it now. I think this is a great introduction to bikes for little ones and when she is big enough for a pedal bike, she should have no issues with the transition.I only wish I’d have known about this bike sooner as I would have bought one for my son, who seems to enjoy going on his little sisters bike more than his own!Thanks to all at Kidvelo for making a little girl really happy!

A Revelation!I work as a cycle instructor delivering Bikeability, Learn to Ride and led rides in the Town Park. I'm also the British Cycling Go-Ride lead at my cycling club. The club has been using a Rookie 12 to help keep younger siblings happy while brothers and sisters attend our sessions.The bike has been amazing, a revelation in fact. First of all, it's incredibly light, something that everyone comments upon. In fact, when the bike arrived we wondered if the box was empty!The steering has proper bearings, as do the hubs, so everything runs really freely. The MTB type handlebar stem is adjustable and the handlebars are shaped so that the reach can be tailored to the rider. The tyres are proper 12 pneumatic with Schrader (car type) valves and the relatively smooth tread pattern means there's the perfect combination of low rolling resistance and grip. There's a choice of 4 colours

We were lucky enough to try this at Newport Bike Club and my 2 year old absolutely loves it! They're very light and built to last, you can feel the quality.

Cant get over the quality of this bike, for the price its phenomenal.All the essential features have been carefully considered and included. I especially like the footrests and reach adjustment the bars and stem enable. Height adjustment is easy and the seat post has measurements too which is really helpful. Its so light a 2 year old can lift it easily. It was so quick and easy to assemble my 7yo built it with minimal guidance. Its a really good looking bike with good quality robust components. I absolutely love it!Kidvelo customer service was fantasic too. Cant recommend this brand enough.

I bought a Kidvelo Rookie 12 for my cousin. It’s incredibly light and the quality is fantastic. Delivery was free and the bike arrived the next day. Well packaged and easy to assemble. I totally recommend this bike for kids just starting out.

I bought this as a last resort to get my 7 year old balancing and riding a bike. He can pedal and ride with stabilisers but has never got the hang of balancing.I got the rookie 18. He is a tall 7 year old and size wise I would say it is perfect. The foot rest is great for learning where to place feet and find balance. I was very sceptical that it wouldn't work with him being so old for a balance bike but it has been amazing.He was given it at easter and at 1st wouldnt sit on the seat just walked the bike but after a few times got the hang of it. Within a few weeks he was doing small distances and now just 12 weeks later he can balance for a prolonged period. I am amazed that balance bikes work for older children aswell as younger children.Would highly recommend, even more so because it is a 2 in one so when they can balance you can just add the pedals so no buying a new bike straight away. FantasticAlso pretty easy to put together and the colour is so vibrant.
