Down Royal Racecourse

A great day out. No winners for my but very enjoyable.Lovely venues

Fantastic racecourse,with an amazing back drop, the staff were all friendly and helpful, the track had a great atmosphere about it,we will definitely be returning.

Down Royal is one of two tracks in Northern Ireland and is located just 16km south of Belfast. They host racing all year round both on the Flat and under National Hunt rules, with a total of 12 race meetings taking place there every year. Down Royal racecourse is one of the biggest racecourses in Northern Ireland.Down Royal has been providing quality horse racing action to the people of Ulster since the 17th century and it has now blossomed into a fantastic venue. Since its major development programme that started in 1993, it now offers excellent hospitality facilities, as well as brilliant entertainment for all racegoers.A sole national hunt track Down Royal's left-handed track is one mile, seven-and-a-half furlongs long with various undulations throughout its entirety.

Family Day out for my birthday they give great day weather great racing was good backed couple of winners enjoyed the day would go back a nd tell all my friends about it thanks

I tried to do the jackpot with the Tote but they dont take Euro + did not accept any cards they should accept both while some of there staff were vaping

Lovely race course ,only disappointing thing (for me) is you can't see all the race corse ,food a bit pricey just like every where ,excellent day out for all the family will definitely be going back

Great venue, clean, high security, plenty of facilities. Always very busy though so marquee tickets or boxes are surprisingly good value to cut the need to queue all day for a drink or the toilet!Only downfall is bar facilities seem to shut early at the big events and in the value of a punter pack, catering would be good.

A fantastic and exciting day out, I would highly recommend getting the bus from Belfast City centre as it allows you to have a stress free day arriving early at the venue and not having to worry about parking. It is great to see the horses walk around the pre parade ring and have the perfect view for the finish of each race. There are a range of betting companies and quality food stalls to choose from. My only complaint is the waiting times for the bathroom and for drinks.

A great experience racing. It's a shame the public facilities were poor. 5 deep at the bar all day, even during races.

What a course! Ample parking and facilities to match. Fourth trip to the course for the November meeting and long may it last. A.T.M's on site and bookies accept euro or sterling. Several different eateries to suit all needs. I've only ever been to the standard grandstand but one day I'll sample an upgrade. Guinness, wine, spirits and lagers all available.
