DVSA Driving Test Centre

To make you all aware while the website remains not updated, according to a sign I found on the door when arriving for my test this morning, this test centre has moved to:Banbury Twenty Cricket ClubErmont WayBanburyOxfordshireOX16 4AEAccording to a phone call with the test centre, this should remain the case for a minimum of 12 months, but it may be worth leaving a little extra time before you arrive for your test in case this is incorrect and you need to travel to the old centre (they are about 10 minutes drive away from each other).I have attached a photo of the sign that was on the door; I hope this is helpful.

Hi, I don’t think I have ever written a review online before but today I making an exception!My driving examiner Ben, made today a very special day for me (for the obvious reason). Separate to me passing my test, Ben clearly explained what he needed from me, he was reassuring and for the time I was with him, you could just tell he is a decent guy.Unfortunately this wasn’t my first time taking my test and I have had nice encounters with others. I just really think they all need to take a leaf out of Ben’s book.

I would like to really like to thank my examiner, Ben. He was very kind and supportive throughout the test. He clearly explained the whole test. Like any other candidate I was a bit nervous to start with and with the 4-6 months delays we are experiencing with DVSA created further undue pressure but Ben made introductions and discussed my workplace to make me comfortable. Very positive experience passing my second attempt at this centre today.The examiner was extremely professional, and they put me at ease throughout the test. I couldn’t have been more pleased with how it was conducted.A note for future students without an instructor is that you can’t enter the test centre car park before 5 minutes to allow previous candidates to exit the centre.

My son had his first appointment cancelled 15 mins before the start because the examiner was not available. One week later he fails his test because apparently he hesitated for a split second at a roundabout. His instructor who has been training him for 7 months completely disagrees with the examiner failing him for such a minor thing. Surly as an examiner you would want to see your candidate pass. The lady examiner was very unfriendly and did not even greet my son. Now we have to wait another 6 monthsBig thanks to the lady examiner who had my son in tears hope you have a great day

I had my driving test last week and my experience from the time I arrived at the centre to the end of the test was good. My examiner Ben was very nice, gave me clear instructions during the test and made me feel at ease. Thanks so much Ben!

Worst experience ever. The examiner kept sighing and huffing at me for very minor mistakes, like stalling, made me feel so nervous to the point I had a panic attack. She had no care at all and didn’t bother to make me feel comfortable.

The building you have to wait in before the test is manky with poor facilities. Once I was out on the test the examiner was alright and didn't try and catch me out at all so the important but was ok.
