I ordered two meal deals. The signage in the window failed to match what was in the window. The server was not very pleasant. After leaving noticed they also overcharged. The baguettes we did get were quite nice though which is the only saving grace.

Always seems to have a long queue for some reason (not enough staff perhaps?).Visited when it was quiet as they do doughnuts which my daughter likes. I bought some others too but as seen in pic the icing wasn't great on one of them plus they were stale. The cinnamon ones were however quite nice. Also ordered a sausage and bacon roll which was ok but nothing special. Not sure why it always has such long queues... Perhaps curiosity like mine but that might die down over time if they don't improve soon.

Lovely bakery’s with good options for all. Fresh bread and cutting service too. Just what Whiteley needed for a quick bite and a coffee. Can get busy during lunch and queues are seen to slowly.

Having seen long queues outside their Whitely store one lunchtime, I thought the food must be good and at last, a real rival to Greggs, so yesterday I decided to try out their baguettes, I ordered a cheese and tomato one; the first thing I noticed was, unlike Greggs the baguette was not tightly wrapped to catch any over-spill I took it to my car to eat and I was thoroughly disappointed, the salad was fresh but not secured properly within the baguette, and where was the cheese, there was some thin bits that were poking out the top for all to see, but that was it, hardly any cheese but lots of salad. Now, this could be an entirely random occurrence and I do apologise if this was the case, but putting a few bits of very thin cheese poking out giving the impression that there was ample cheese, is an old trick used by sandwich bars everywhere-until people cottoned on and went elsewhere. Guys, it's great to see queues outside your doors, its great business, but please please don't 'stretch' your ingredients to accommodate demand, people do notice, and secure your baguettes so none is 'lost or fallen to the bottom of the bag. This was just my experience and I'm sorry to leave a negative review, I hardly do any reviews these days 99 percent of them are positive.David Reardon

It is great to have Wenzel's in Whiteley. The staff work really hard and are always busy but the system used isn't great. There is one till dedicated to card only and there isn't room for two queues. There is never the full range of goods available at the same time, salads and sandwiches are usually missing. Bacon and sausages usually run out too.

My son's a builder in local site , not sure if they can cope with busy period of workmen wanting served , most of the time the staff walk away in the back and your left walking back out shop as no one to serve you , wonder if the owner knows how much trade their losing from these workmen , also no sandwiches made up .

Really glad this place is in Whiteley you get far more for your money compared to Subway. I default to this place now since subway have borked up their new menu. The baguettes are spot on nice and fresh, prices are very good, the shop has a fine collection of goodies behind the till. Some food I would kind of question like the pasties and some of the paninis but I’d say as long as you’re not expecting too much given the price then it’s fine.Check out some of the Halloween theme stuff, the eyeballs I think are too realistic for my 3 year old though ha

Not impressed having walked down for 5.30pmEverything is still laid out on shelves but door is locked.Supposed to be open till 7pm.Somebody comes to door to say they are closed due to staff issues?Only issues I could see was the 2 staff that were there had closed the door instead of serving customers.Very poor, will go else where.

Started off great, but service levels have now dropped. Decent food, but a lack of staff. Long queues. More often than not I walk out after 15 mins as the queue doesn't move. It won't last at this rate. Needs to be addressed.

This is a great addition to have at Whiteley and from what I've experienced, much nicer than others close by. The subs here have really nice, soft bread and it all feels freshly made. The best thing we've tried so far is the chicken and bacon baguettes and the Lotus Biscoff and Nutella Croisnut, definitely one to try! Staff are always helpful but I've rated 4 stars as they do seem to run out of their baguettes quite quickly.
