Pets at Home Canterbury Sturry Rd

I go in there constantly and the staff are always helpful and friendly 10/10

I was 45mins late being seen but they had an emergency, so understandable and the receptionist was very apologetic. The vet was friendly and explained everything to me and was fantastic while dealing with my fur baby.

Went into store today to collect an extendable lead I paid for on their site. The person today serving had no idea how to serve he was serving a lady no one else behind her just me. Then another women came up with items he had already seen me but after finishing his customer he served looked at both of us I told him I was hear to collect my purchase so he made contact with another person to bring my item to the counter. I gave my mobile to this guy to scan my membership card which said I could pick up a free packet of dog chews. He just did not understand how to put these through. Not a good shopping experience. If he had read what the size was to be given but kept saying to me it don't work on the small pack only on the larger pack I explained then that is what is being allowed to the customer on your till. Where have all the good people gone he just never knew much about his job.

The stars are primarily for the guy who adopted the 4 male rats to us a couple weeks back. His knowledge and friendliness was refreshing! I don’t usually go into pets at home because there products for rodents and fish are expensive and not appropriate! The cages are tiny and usually the animals don’t last long as they come from bad breeding but the 4 we adopted had been relinquished to pets at home and I had just lost a hamster so screw it! Living their best life!

They have a good range and the staff are helpful which I appreciate.The Canterbury store has a much better layout than the Broadstairs one (where there does not seem to be much logic in the layout and it is, consequently, hard to find what you are looking for.

It's a good all round pet store with reasonably priced products and convenient parking, there's a vets for pets and a groomers in-store too. They have a massive range of dog toys, and a lot of dog beds but not so much for collars, leads, or bowls. You'd be better off visiting Herne Bay's independent pet store in the high street if you're looking for those! They do sometimes sell out of things and not everything is clearly labelled or priced but the staff are friendly and helpful.

Very helpful staff, very informative, end of Isle baskets were a little problematic with wheelchair but staff assisted with no fuss.
