Went here on a lovely sunny day. Enjoyed it immensely. Nice woodland walks with so many interesting trees. Will be returning with the grandkids. They'll enjoy looking for the numbered posts among the trees. Thoroughly recommend a visit on a dry day.

Professor Bernard Lovell’s creation. Beautiful trees, well maintained. So relaxing to stroll though on a sunny day in spring. Swettenham village like something from Midsomer Murders. After a walk, lunch in the pub next door. Cheshire at its best. Sadly the ford on the lane has been closed to cars now, so you can’t get stuck on the way in!

33 acres of forest and garden to explore, right behind the pub. Ideal to walk your dogs on lead during a hot summers day due to the amount of shade and natural cooling.Even better when the pub is open as you can get a drink and food in the lavender gardenThere is an entry fee of £2.50 via an honesty box

This place is a little gem, dogs are allowed, and there are different length walks, ranging from 45 mins to 1hr 30 mins. There are seating areas to rest if required. There is also a nature reserve and walks down to the Brook, if you like trees there are many different varieties here, a lot of the trees have names on so you can know what you are looking at. There is a large pond which they are refurbishing this year. There is a pub there as well, which at present is being totally refurbished, so when finished you can get a meal or a drink. There is also good car parking there as well. There are also guides you can use as as you go round, they are in a green box were the notice board is as you go in.This place is well worth a visit.

Free to RHS members and 2 for 1 gardener world offer. A £2.50 contribution is asked to help towards the up keep. There are a number of paths throughout the arboretum. There is a pond and a number of woodland plants. There is a pub next door where you can get a drink.

The Quinta Arboretum is a delight to visit, today was a bit muddy under foot but well worth the effort. Very peaceful, enjoyed the birds and seeing the ancient Oaks and the beautiful avenues of trees. A bite of lunch at the Swettenham Arms was lovely too.
