A fantastic business to deal with who bent over backwards to ensure we got the right fireplace and to make sure we were 100% happy - Jo bent over backwards at a busy time of year for us so thank you very much indeed. Absolutely outstanding service from start to finish. After my initial enquiry Jo confirmed with me using multiple photos what I wanted my fire surround to look like, and sent a plan of the dimensions before it was made to confirm I was happy. It was made of good quality materials and very well painted. It's also very sturdy and obviously well made. They made sure it was delivered in time for builders to install it and were even able to paint it the shade of Farrow and Ball paint that matched the rest of the room decor. It was well wrapped and braced with wood to make sure it arrived intact. They use a good delivery service that keeps in regular contact with you. The image shows what was received prior to installation. I couldn't be happier and wish every company was as good as this.

Our Georgian hob grate was installed yesterday and looks fantastic. Jo worked out all the dimensions long distance and everything fits perfectly with good proportions. It looks as though it has always been there. I received excellent advice every step of the way. Jo is not only very knowledgable, she is also friendly and extremely patient! The installer she recommends did a first class job. I cannot recommend this company highly enough.

Beyond impressed with Old Flames. Not only are Jo and Phil incredibly knowledgable, they're also incredibly patient and helpful. A really dedicated service from a small company who clearly care a lot about their craft.From sourcing the perfect grate and restoring the surround expertly, to recommending the additional fitters and chimney technicians I'd need they advised and assisted along the entire process whilst also being very understanding of my deadlines and budget.I couldn't be more pleased with my final fireplace and would highly recommend them to anyone!

What a fabulous find Old Flames was.....I needed a period Georgian hob-grate and both Phil and Jo could not have more helpful. The advice I received on dimensions and fitting was invaluable, it is clear that they really know what they are talking about and without the advice I am sure things would have gone wrong otherwise. They even supplied a stunning surround made to the spec I needed. I have never written a review before, but had to on this occasion.....I would highly recommend Old Flames to any discerning customer....and I am pretty hard to please!!!

After looking for a surround that would fit my fireplace for nearly a year, I found the perfect surround that was handmade to my exact measurements and was the exact copy of an antique Georgian surround so it was perfect for my house.Jo and Phil were very helpful and guided me through the whole process.
