Sounds of the city! Great bands but a few negatives to the place. The canopy we sat under was worse than useless. It didn't shelter us from the rain and had massive (intentional) holes in the roof that let even more rain in.Toilets are situated a good walk away from the bowl , up several sets of steps and past some unsafe ditches ( by this time idiots were pushing each other down them) .We had been told the gates at the top of the steps would be open to leave however at the end we were told this wasn't the case and then had to join the masses squeezing out of the funnel exit! I thought this was quite unsafe and needs to be looked at for the future.

Amazing venue, for someone who doesn't like standing gigs, this was perfect for me and my partner (who prefers standing). Plenty of places for me to perch whilst he stood, right near the front too. The sound at the venue is top notch and there are lots of food and drinks stands. It feels like a festival with one stage and remains quite intimate

Awesome, unusual, intimate outdoor venue in the heart of the city. Standing and seating provide unobstructed views of the stage, transport couldn't be easier, and a fantastic atmosphere.

One of the nicest places I've gone to see a concert. Great location next to the canal and the trains. Great services providing food + drink. Place is all general admission with a standing area at the front and seating at the back, which is covered incase it rains. Floor is slightly sloped so can even see all the way at the back. Recommend highly

Great venue, big enough to feel like a concert, small enough to still be part of the atmosphere - even from the back.

A little hidden gem, tucked away in the Castlefield area of Manchester, a garden in the sky, making use of an old unused railway bridge. Our visit was on a typical Manchester day,but come the summer when in full bloom,it'll be a different place again.

A great venue. We attended for the only Porcupine Tree gig in the UK this year and maybe forever!! Hope not.Managed to get space on the concrete tier and in the warmth of the setting sun. Great weather, great venue absolutely stunning band performance even with the bass player absent due to family crisis in the US.Weather was kind, and even the trains appeared as if on cue when the band encored with Trains"Only downside........ The price of beer. Outrageous. A 330ml can of brewdog was £6 and draft beer a shocking £13.50. No. Wonder there were no queues at the recreshment points. Lower the price and sell MORE!Other than the beer niggle a venue that is highly recommended"

Really cool venue! I came for the final night of Laughterama and despite the dreadful weather forecast, it was an amazing night. The generous selection of streetfood stalls and bars makes it worth arriving early, although they stayed open for the intervals so there's no risk of missing out. Our seats were very close to the stage, and the sound and lighting was consistently appropriate through the transition from evening into night. There were loads of toilets which matters at large events like this! The staff were friendly and did a good job keeping queue times short, and the end of the show was well organised to prevent a stampede. The show itself was great, with some really big names, and I'm already looking forward to seeing who's on the lineup next year - not to mention catching a Sounds of the City gig here! A really unique venue (or as David O'Doherty described it: 'my first gig in a penguin enclosure')
